Survival in the SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages)
| |
| There is something about using distinct visual analogies to illustrate parallels between search engines (the jungle), traffic (information foragers), competition (predators) and survival in the algorithmic food chain.
Just like a jungle, survival in the SERPs (search engine results pages) can be tricky. The uncertainty of search engine algorithms, the survival based impulses that by default comprise 97% of the web pages at large (like playing capture the flag) or a boobie-trap where one step on the wrong twig and you could be consumed, penalized, suppressed, catapulted or removed from the top 10 based on your SEO survival skills, your resourcefulness or your experience in the jungle. |

| In the process of recognizing a sense of stress or discomfort, we may observe that many times our reactive state sits in judgment of the experience; right or wrong and/or good and bad. In order to release this deep anxiety, we want to invite in the possibility of sitting with the inner body sensation of the experience vs. the built-in stories and thoughts that arise around the emotional or physical block or discomfort. |

Small Business Tips: Think Your Business To Success
| |
| Before any action happens in the world, first there is a thought ... an idea ... a stroke of genius. This thought triggers the response into the physical world. So say for example you want to pick up your coffee cup – your brain thinks the thought and then sends electrical impulses and chemicals to your arm muscles which in turn extend and contract to pick up your cup. But your eyes first assess how far away the cup is and how potentially heavy the cup is before you lift it – otherwise you would knock it over or spill the contents.
What happens in many businesses is they miss the thought stage – leaping into action before fully have completed the thought action. As a result, mistakes and errors are made which mean re-work and wasted effort.

Enlist Your Self Control and Achieve Even More
| |
| Self-control is defined as “control of oneself” or the “ability to master one's desires and impulses. Philosophically speaking self-control could be described as the exertion of one's own will. Psychologically, self-control usually refers to a person’s self-perception, belief system, as well as the ability to set boundaries on their own behavior. Among some scientific communities, the issue seems to be whether or not what we perceive as “normal” is truly an accurate setting to work with. How the Economy Affects Your Brain
| |
| It’s a well known fact among the Mental Science community that chronic stress can actually alter brain anatomy. Stress (depression, fear, etc.) may cause specific areas of the brain to shrink in size. As the brain areas shrink, their functions (brain chemical secretions and electrical impulses) are altered. This anatomical adaptation to stress will ultimately affect how a person thinks, behaves, and reasons.
In other words, changes in the brain due to stress, makes us less able to think of logical solutions to our problems.
In addition to the irrational problem solving capacity produced by stress, the actual brain cells will change according to your thoughts. |
