Survive a Winter and Holidays On a Bums Budget
The coming winter of 2008-2009 will test ALL!!! The bad economy means one thing you have to be resourcefully some things will be easy some you will have to just grin and bare. Being a Baby Boomer like me Helps most of us came from large family's and did not have a lot of cash but had the survival methods used and passed down just like the clothing! So bad times are sometimes the best why? Well in the effort to stretch the buck and stay warm we have a habit of coming closer together which can in turn make for a Winter and Especially a Holiday Season that will not be forgot for a long time all done on the budget of a BUM even though we are just normal people trying to survive a economy we did not plan for.

That Inner Smile makes the Entrepreneur a Success
“The most attractive thing anyone can wear is a smile, something money can’t buy and shops don’t sell! Looking good comes as much from within, Confidence, happiness and joy, that inner beauty”. Positive attitude comes with a smile! Negative thoughts are infectious. Once you wear a long face, it affects all around you, It is very easy to slip into negative thinking. Optimists have failures too, but they tend to blame the failure on factors that are external to themselves, temporary and specific to this instance. For the negative person however, they claim it is their own fault, and it always happens to them. They take Murphy’s Law to heart, “if it can go wrong, it will”…They look on the glass as always half empty. There are also people who have learnt the behavior of negativity.

It's Re-Election Time! Get The Picture?
So while everyone was thinking about the brave troops who finally capped Osama Bin Laden the other day, I was also thinking about whether or not they had a 71-Quebec out there with them on that mission (that's Army Talk for "journalist," or at least it used to be). I guess they must have, because this week's big news is President Obama's decision not to release the photos that were taken of Dead Terrorist Number One. So since the global paparrazzi corps was busy sobering up in London after Will-'n'-Kate, and since civilian "journalists" only take pictures of car chases and tornado damage (when they can squeeze those things in around their grip-and-grin work at the White House), any photos that existed had to have been taken by some hard-working military journalist....

Inspirational Leaders Keep An Upbeat Attitude
Many people - including lots of my clients - aspire to be inspirational leaders. Inspirational leaders start as inspirational people, and people who easily inspire others are those who have that infectious, almost-automatic positive outlook on life....

Change is Life
"I hate all this change. Why can't things just stay the same?", Dirk shouted angrily at the TV news anchor. He threw a pillow at the TV screen and clicked it off with a snort. Suddenly a hissing noise arose from the corner of the room and green, shimmering mist filled the air. Dirk stood in shock as a one-foot tall, wrinkled old man emerged from the glowing cloud. The tiny, grizzled fellow had a long flowing white beard and was dressed from head to toe in green. His eyes twinkled with mischief as he flashed a gap-toothed grin. "Hi, I am Mike. I can take you to a place where people don't have to deal with change and things stay the same all the time."

Low Morality Does Not Inspire People
Many of my clients want to be more inspirational as leaders, and like most of us, they have an eye on the interesting event that started as "Occupy Wall Street" and has now spread to include tiny protests that seek to "occupy everything" in America. Is this an example of inspirational leadership, or the spread of something closer to an infectious disease?
