Success model: Targeted marketing of investment goods and long-lasting consumer goods
Still quite often ‚Marketing‘ is misunderstood to be ‚PR‘ only. For many industries like apparel, food or even automobiles this is true, to a certain extent. Not so for investment goods or long-lasting consumer goods.

Percy's Gang of 125: How Curved Is the Earth??? It's A Small World, After All ???
Percy Barnevik was Europe's exemplar businessman for much of the '80s and '90s. He woke up a sleepy ABB Asea Brown Boveri big time—and made about as many notable management inventions as Jack Welch along the way. I sang his praises at length in my 1992 book, Liberation Management. In particular, Barnevik's ABB was peerless when it came to internationalization and managing very far-flung ventures. Along the way, as I recall, he surprised many of us by asserting that among his cast of hundreds of thousands, with managers numbering in the tens of thousands, he really only needed about 125 true internationalists!

Business Book of the Year?
The FT has out its "long list" of nominees for the FT/Goldman Sachs Business Book of the Year. The picks aren't too surprising (despite being forced to leave out the FT's own Gillian Tett's excellent Fool's Gold), with a cross-section of financial crises and management self-help books, leavened by one peak-oil text and a few internationalization works.

Future of Franchising in India
Franchising is an entrepreneurial alliance. Much like a commercial business partnership wherein the franchisor provides the brand name, manufacturing / service delivery process and access to the system and the franchisee provides the capital and forms the front end of the delivery system. Franchising is based on sound principles of excellent and consistent quality that is associated with a brand name.

Software Localization vs. Game Localization
It is important to distinguish between a software localization project and a game localization project. Software localization generally takes into account a user’s ability to input dates, numbers, and other data in their respective country formats. Additionally, software localization needs to consider the use of standard keyboard characters, and that user messages are comprehensible in any language...

Envisioning the future of Facebook Groups.
In my opinion, Zuckerberg, Cox and others on Facebook's Product team should be given the inaugural Henry Ford award. Facebook delivers what it's customers actually want, despite their lack of knowledge that they want it. This is daily occurrence for fb: Closed Networks, NewsFeed, Profile Redesign, Open Graph, Platform, Pages, Internationalization, Chat, Privacy, Groups - and the list goes on.
