Feeling Ignored
| |
| Dear Jane,
I get lost in a crowd, like I’m invisible. I pretend not to care and I know I make things worse by dressing in drab clothes. But I feel like I don’t matter to anyone. What can I do short of screaming, “Here I am! Pay attention to me!”
Being ignored—not feeling special or valued—is one of the most hurtful experiences to endure. Unless we’re so Britney Spears-like famous that we lose all privacy, I think all of us have felt invisible and ignored.
Given that the way you dress reinforces your pain, it’s likely that you have an old belief that you are unimportant. |

Are You Using The Force Within?
| |
| There is an incredible energy and power within each of us just waiting to be unleashed by our Core Desires-I call it the Conquering Force.
To conquer is to get what we seek or overcome obstacles by physical, mental, or moral force. And force is the power to act effectively and to move against resistance. And so your Conquering Force is your innate ability to act effectively to get what you seek by overcoming all obstacles and resistance in your way. By tapping into the Conquering Force, we can achieve amazing results. |

Core Desires Ignite the Conquering Force
| |
| Core Desires are the ignition mechanism for the Conquering Force. This is what a Core Desire can do in your life- ignite the Conquering Force within you. I've taught hundreds of karate students, most of whom indicated they wanted to be black belts, but few of them ever achieved that distinction. Not because they didn't have the ability but because it wasn't a Core Desire. The sooner you identify your Core Desires, the sooner your Conquering Force kicks in. Then, and only then, will you truly have what it takes to achieve at high levels, which is where the greatest joy and happiness can be found. |
