Training is a Journey Not a Destination

When I was thinking about this article, one of the things that got me wondering was why we put ourselves through training, through learning. I was over 30 when I learned to drive first and I remember praying that the driving instructor would not turn up, that he would forget me, that I wouldn’t have to go through that awful vulnerable vacuum of being a learner…I couldn’t believe that I would ever get to the stage when I could actually hold the steering wheel with one hand and change the gears with the other.

Magazines, newspapers, radio and television screamed out and reinforced the idea that to be successful I had to own a big home, live in the best neighbourhood, drive a big car(s), eat at the best restaurants, join the best clubs, have season tickets to the theatre, travel to exotic climates.

Never Ask This Question In An Unexpected Event
How do you react to an unexpected event? When something goes wrong OR something that has been working very well is not working NOW, do you say to yourself: Oh! My God,why me? How can I complete this task without this thing working? OR This is happening for a reason. What is it that I need to learn NOW or What is it that I can do now with the gifts I have?

Search for Happiness
Summary Create visions of the future. Plan out the journey using goals. Accept change and continue your journey towards your vision. Stop and look around and find out what makes you happy and content with your life. Decide who and what are important to you. Do what makes you feel good in all aspects of your life.
