Oct 28 1968 Kidney Transplant Survivor Holiday Thoughts
Yes I had a Kidney Transplant on Oct 28 1968 when I tell most people they say "Right" well we live in a world of non belief! A real good reason for this just look at whats going on with the election and our economy! This is part of a ongoing book I am writing and I hope you have some time to read some of my views after being a prodigy of the Health Care system for over 40 years I was 14 when this all started and I am including some very close thoughts that anyone with a child in a health care situation should read. TRYING TO STAY ALIVE JUST ONE MORE DAY
As some know and I do not often talk about it, I have had my own share of challenges over the last several years. In the fall of 2001, after being diagnosed with a lung infection that doctors were not able to eradicate with antibiotics because of an underlying chronic condition, I spent the better part of the next two years, my health slowly deteriorating as I gradually lost lung function. I was told early on that my only hope was a double lung transplant and without it, I would die!

LEAN INTO YOUR DISCOMFORT
I must admit that learning to lean into my discomfort has had a very positive effect in my life! It was a process over time but the value of being able and willing to do it, was magnified 10 fold during my two year battle to survive my deteriorating lungs, followed by another two year journey back from the edge of death to good health, after surviving a 13 hour double lung transplant operation. My new lungs came from a 40 year old man who lost his life in a car accident when he was killed by a drunk driver. His incredible gifts saved the lives of four people. I know about discomfort!

Infant Death From Overdose of Blood Thinner Heparin Tragically Was Not the First
Heparin is commonly administered after surgery or during kidney dialysis to keep blood in IV lines from clotting. But an incorrect dosage can lead to immediate consequences because a patient can quickly start bleeding internally. Some hospitals stopped using Heparin on infants in 2008, substituting a saline solution as a lower-risk alternative.

DON\'t reject seller financing when selling a business because of stupid reasons!
Many sellers of their businesses are refusing to seller finance their buyers from number of different reasons. And when asked why, one of the most common answers is: “I’ve heard all kinds of horror stories about seller financing”. And to be brutally honest, that reason is not only irrational, but it is simply stupid. Because horror stories are just that – stories. Have you ever heard the one about the traveling salesman who goes out to a bar for a nightcap and wakes up in his hotel room with scars on his lower back – and his kidney missing? Of course you have; everyone knows THIS particular horror story.
