We’ll meet again…
Ever been treated with an attitude of indifference? Ever been ignored as a customer because you didn’t look the part or didn’t fit the stereotype of a typical buyer? Ever been fobbed off in favor of someone else because you are (supposedly) not famous enough, well connected or prestigious enough to do business with? The world is littered with stories of people who were passed over and ignored by judgmental, blinkered sales people only to take their business somewhere else where they were treated with respect and were able to buy what they wanted despite how they may have appeared to others.

Playing Catch Up and Making Time
I have a friend who is always late. If he’s to pick me up, he’s late. If I’m to pick him up, he’s late. My son is the same way. I don’t know if this is a sign of passive/aggressive behavior or not, but it means when I deal with my friend and my son, I have to adjust my time. I tell them that events are earlier than they really are. I tell them I’ll pick them up earlier than I need to. I play their game. I hate it, but I know what I have to do to make time.

Origins of NLP
Back in the 70's NLP started as a meta-model, or a model for making and changing other models. The NLP meta-model focuses on verbal models, and how language both shapes and reflects human thought. The two explained their meta model in The Structure of Magic. They first used the meta-model to find how highly successful therapists like Milton Erickson and Virginia Satir managed to help so many people. They wanted to know: What language and behavioral patterns did these therapists have? In Erickson's case, how did he consistently produce deep hypnotic trances? What happened in the client's mind as they changed?

2 Cool Ways Einstein Makes You Money
Over the years - I've spoken extensively about how thank you cards are under-used by most entrepreneurs and sales people. Inevitably someone will ask me "OK Kim, I'm guilty!! There's someone I should have sent a thank you card to...but it's been 3 months! I feel terrible. Is it too late?" This is why you have to love Einstein. The answer is "It's never too late to send a thank you card!'

Starting an Internet Home Based Business
Starting an Internet home based business is the best alternative to a traditional job during this deep recession in the United States and the rest of the world. If you have a late model computer with high-speed Internet access and basic computer and Internet skills you are good to go.

Internet Business Model
Compared to the traditional business model, the internet business model is in many ways more powerful and absolutely more accessible to anyone. Entrepreneurs from all walks of life are successfully implementing this business model.

Lesson #1: “Don’t be afraid to change the model”
“I got the idea for Netflix after my company was acquired,” says Hastings. “I had a big late fee for ‘Apollo 13.’ It was six weeks late and I owed the video store $40. I had misplaced the cassette. It was all my fault.”

Business Model vs Business Plan
A business model is not a business plan and a business plan is not a business model. Your business plan documents how you will execute your business model. Your business model is your proprietary methodology used to acquire service and retain your customers.

People and Expectations
As you have already discovered, the world is full of all kinds of different people. Some of them mesh well with our personalities and expectations and others simply do not. This is not a problem in and of itself because all of these people put together make up our world as it exists. The difficulty arises when we expect people to be other than what they are. For example, we all have a friend or acquaintance who is habitually late. If this is the only problem with a particular person, it can be dealt with. Over the months and years, we simply learn to build in extra time, because we know that they will continue to be late. The problem arises when we expect that late person to be punctual.
