What Is A Computer LANGUAGE

| A computer by itself only knows how to move numbers around, do calculations or make logical decisions based on the results. It knows nothing at all about customers, invoices, stock, suppliers or accounts. It is the assumptions made by the logic of a computer program that determine what each piece of data represents and the symbols used to express that logic are

| A recent worldwide survey revealed that there are 6,800 languages and dialects spoken globally today. While I am often amazed how inaccurate communications can get, when you consider the number of languages spoken, it is somewhat amazing that we communicate at all.
It could be argued that most problems in human interaction arise from poor communication. Assuming that none of us set out to miscommunicate, it is important to explore why our best intentions to transfer knowledge, emotion, and details fall short. Remember, just because you're talking doesn't mean anyone's hearing. If they are hearing, it doesn't mean they're listening to you. Even if they are listening to you, it doesn't mean that they understand what you're saying.

| What we say matters in communication. How we say it is just as important. According to Albert Mehrabian, 7 percent of face-to-face communication is words (language), and tone (38 percent). Over the telephone, words hold more weight because if we don’t understand the language used (foreign), then tone becomes irrelevant. Monotone languages (like Malay and English) are easier to learn, whereas multi-tone languages (Mandarin, for instance) is harder to master as there are four tones. |
