Are Macs and Wal-Marts a good match?

Apparently, there are plans afoot for Wal-Mart to sell Macs, as well as iPhones and iPods, in at least some of their stores. I'm not sure that's a good idea, but it's worth pursuing, at least on a trial basis.

My call: Snow Leopard by July, quad-core iMacs by October
Kaufman Brothers analyst Shaw Wu thinks Mac OS X 10.6 (“Snow Leopard”) may not arrive until late summer or early fall. I think the beast will begin prowling in the June-July time period. However, I agree withe Wu that we’ll see a quad-core iMac before year’s end that will capitalize on Snow Leopard’s beefed up support for multiple core processors.

Analyst says we shouldn’t expect revamped Mac desktops anytime soon—but I beg to differ
Trip Chowdhry, a Global Equities Research analyst, says you shouldn’t expect revamped Mac desktops anytime soon—at least ones with big changes. Tough economic times, a shrinking desktop market and strong notebook sales make this an unwise move for Apple, he told Wired. However, not releasing new desktops is a terrible idea—and totally against Apple’s “DNA,” according to the Sellers Research group.

Time for Apple to release a 25th anniversary Mac
The Mac turns 25 this year. And Super Bowl Sunday would be the perfect (symbolically, at least) time for Apple to run an ad for a 25th anniversary Mac.

StorySelling “How to Write Mini User Stories”
Why: Use mini user stories, with the right sales message, so that your salespeople are able to sell value and differentiate your offering instead of pitching product and reducing price. Mini User Stories: Make the stories short. Use only one constraint per story otherwise you risk flooding the Buyer with too much information. Make the Buyer the Hero of the Story: Many Customer Stories make the company out to be the hero who rode in on their white shinny horse to save the Buyer.
