A friend invited me to hear Rudolph Guiliani, the former mayor of New York City, speak at a local college. The list below captures what he spoke about. Guiliani told us that after September 11th he had to make many decisions very quickly. He would make 4 or 5 and then close his eyes and pray, "Please make this right." The state of New York recently passed legislation funding the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, which serves the 12-county region of New York City. The legislation includes a new payroll tax on wages and compensation paid to employees who are employed within the New York Metropolitan Commuter Transportation District (MCTD).

Carrie Bradshaw and Sex in the City in New York, does not have quite the same ring as Linda Sage and Sex in the City of Quesada....but there again who knows! That probably sounds as exciting to somebody in rain drenched down town Glasgow or Margate (not that I have anything personal against these two places or people from there) but all things are relative!
