Self-enquiry and authenticity: How do you become who you really are?
| |
| To learn who we really are, to become authentic, involves a process of self-discovery, partly through the skill of self-enquiry and partly through contact with others. Strategic Advice For Giving Feedback From Your Strategic Thinking Business Coach
| |
| One of the most critical activities of a coach, mentor, supervisor or anyone that oversees the work of others is to provide feedback to let them know, in a timely and ongoing way, how they are performing. People committed to continuous improvement welcome the opportunity to discuss their strengths and areas for improvement in their performance. How to Choose the Right Business Coach For You
| |
| Ask any successful business owner, Olympic champion, pageant queen, or executive about their success, and they will likely thank a mentor or coach. So, when you seek out a coach yourself, you can be sure you are in the right track. But, is it just me or is there a new "Speaker, Author, and Coach" on every corner nowadays? A Mentor Is Important, But A Coach Is Invaluable
| |
| Both terms, mentor and coach, are used interchangeably, designating leadership in guiding others to excellence. But there is an important distinction between the two terms. A mentor lays the foundation for success to their student or client. A mentor gives advice and answers questions but rarely, if ever, follows up to check on the progress of their client. A mentor sees the people they help as clients, while a coach sees them as students with the goal of turning them into either partners or coaches themselves. While mentors have helped millions of entrepreneurs get their businesses off the ground, coaches inject themselves into the process and guide the entrepreneur from business start-up to profit. Mentors generally take a hands-off approach while coaches are definitely hands-on. |

Mentoring - It’s All Greek to Me!
