The Second Most Important Success Secret
You will, in this life, have the opportunity to learn from people, unusual teachers and mentors that don't fit the standard mold. People that have been taking their lumps for years and learning all along the way. People who have chosen you for some reason to pass on some of that knowledge...and you had better be listening. I am lucky enough to have had more than my share and I did listen and what I learned has changed my life. Business principles and life lessons that may be the most important lessons that I may ever learn. I now pass on to my clients, friends and mentoring students the same wisdom. And, if they choose to listen and learn as I chose, then the application of that knowledge will carry them a life time.

Mentors - Don't Live with Regret
Do you remember who your mentors were? Do you currently have a mentor? Is there someone in your organization that you really respect, someone you look up to, someone who's actions and words have a real impact on how you live your life, perform your job and think about your future? If you do, whether you or they know it or not, they are mentoring you. Or, you may be mentoring them. Of course it is much more effective if it is done in the conscious state and both of you acknowledge your independent obligations to the process. Regardless, today mentoring is becoming more popular within organizations as an effective leadership tool for both the mentor and the recipient.

Reverse Mentoring
In business mentoring is regarded as a relationship in which one person (the mentor) - usually someone more experienced, often more senior in an organisation - helps another (the learner or mentee) to discover more about themselves, their potential and their capability. Recently, mentoring has taken on many other forms such as peer and group mentoring. The latest form of mentoring involves organizations shifting into reverse; they are asking tech-savvy employees to teach the "old dogs" new tricks.

They will tell you that it is the ‘look and smell of opportunity.’
