Lesson #3: Focus Your Sights
“Here is the prime condition of success, the great secret,” said Carnegie. “Concentrate your energy, thought, and capital exclusively upon the business in which you are engaged. Having begun in one line, resolve to fight it out on that line, to lead in it; adopt every improvement, have the best machinery, and know the most about it.”

The Status Quo and Radical Ideas
What so many of us discuss about Africa is the desire to see things change. We apply the lenses that color our lives to the problem and come up with solutions that fit our world view. Challenges to that world view are hard for us to deal with, because it likely means a paradigm shift is needed in our own lives.

Eye On The Pie Branding From an Investors POV
When building a business as a brand it’s important to avoid a myopic view and consider another important aspect of the business game as well— investing. After any amount of toil and hard work to create a valuable product, service or company the big game is when you go public— when money-minded people want more, they want a piece of your brand pie.

Eliminate the Negatives
Ever notice that all the folks with negative, small-minded attitudes always hang out together and all the successful, big-minded people hang out together as well? Coincidence? NO! Remove yourself from the negative crowd. Avoid negative people as much as possible.

Training Employees: Stop Wasting Your Money
You send your people on expensive training courses. Yet your business performance does not seem to improve. Your problem may lie in how you look at training. This article considers two popular views of how training works. Hold the outdated view and you will continue to lose money on training. Home Based Business Team Creates A New Paradigm
Home based business team almost sounds like an oxymoron. Typically working from home means you are working for yourself and by yourself. The business circle is usually limited to a few people doing the work. New technologies make it possible for like minded entrepreneurs to change the paradigm of the home based business owner. Prior to the Internet, people purchased distributorships for the privilege of selling quality products for a commission. Many of the baby boomer generation will remember the visits of the Watkins and Fuller Brush man. Instead of working alone, entrepreneurs are finding like minded individuals who want to work as a member of a home based business team.

Tips For Achieving Affiliate Marketing Business Success
Here we discuss a few things that can help you approach affiliate marketing in a more business minded way.

How to Be Open-Minded to New Ideas
If you have definite ideas about how things are or how they should be, you’ve probably had someone tell you to “keep an open mind.” Having an open mind is important to succeed in life. Embracing, or at least considering, new ideas and technologies is vital to our personal growth. Are you willing to consider someone else’s opinion? Can you look at facts that may seem suspect and analyze them without bias? If you’re open-minded, you can be flexible when met with new ideas. It means you can adapt to new experiences. Being able to think critically is a vital component of being open-minded. In our quickly changing technological world, it’s important to keep an open mind in order to keep up and stay current, rather than missing out on all the new things around us...

The Power of Yes!
You probably already know that positive people are more fun to be around; that it doesn't feel good when people say 'no' to you; and, that being open-minded is generally better than being critical or close-minded. But what you may not know is just how overwhelming the evidence is a 'yes' mentality can help you in almost every aspect of your life and business. My aim is to hit you hard and repeatedly with the 'yes' hammer until it's permanently embossed on your head and in your mind. My hope is that you re-wire your knee-jerk reaction for a 'yes' auto-response -- or better yet, you re-wire your brain so that you consciously choose a 'yes' or 'no' response with no knee-jerking at all!
