| In business you can often think that with better marketing and more capable staff your business and your life will improve.
However if you're disorganised and the internal business systems are the same (which is very common), then your ability to cope with additional work and find and retain good people will diminish greatly.
Through my work with small business, I find the personal strengths and weaknesses of the owner directly impacts the business... for better or worse.

Was it insecurity that made her ask that question? Was it because she couldn’t believe what she saw, that she needed an outside opinion to feel validated?

That is not to say that you shouldn't take time to glance into the rear view mirror to check for danger so you can negotiate the road ahead safer and with more efficiency. Now compare that to your day-to-day life, do you have a tendency to look behind you and see only your failures and challenges; or are you like an experienced driver who checks it periodically for safety purposes but is totally focused on what lies ahead for you? |

Ever notice how it’s the people we’re closest to who push our buttons. What if we considered them a mirror for our own growth and learning?
What usually happens is we look at the other and judge: we don’t like what they’re doing. We think ‘They hurt me,’ or ‘I’m jealous’. We have judgments about how they handle money, or parenting. We don’t like how they deal with children, extended family, how they approach sexual intimacy, their work focus (or lack thereof).
