Hot Coals
| |
| Involved in an expensive developmental workshop, Chad volunteered first when the facilitator queried the group about their objectives. It was the morning session of a weekend event that a friend of mine was conducting, and she'd asked me to sit-in. So, on a Saturday morning when I'd normally be sleeping, I found myself listening to Chad's frustrations about his lack of success, his inflexible boss, and his difficult coworkers. |

• Communication
• Attitude
• Flexibility
• Opportunity to Learn
• Fun
This series of five articles will focus on each of the five areas from the dialogue session.
Let’s begin with communication. Communication, in particular interpersonal communication, is the foundation for creating excellent organizations and great places to work.

A story of inspiration and action for marketers
| |
| I love the John Jackson wakeup call in the morning in our business. Some of us need coffee, tea whatever it takes to perk you up first thing in the morning. For me it is the cup of leadership .This morning was no different except we all witnessed John tell a very heart rendering story about his dad who passed away 11 years ago and he became very emotional at one point as he fondly remembered his dad. There were many lessons to be learned from this story and I will share a few of the highlight moments of that call with you.

The Philosopher
| |
| It was a heavy and wet morning when the trees let out quiet sighs, aching from the fresh weight of the evening’s frost. A man sat in his study watching exhausted leaves tremble and fall, spilling light with each pirouette. It was a morning not unlike any other for this man. He rose at seven, as was his custom. Washed his face with cool water and prepared for the morning’s conversation and walk with Mr. Wellington.

Four Minutes in the Morning
| |
| Amy and I created a tradition about a decade ago we call “four minutes in the morning.” We try to – fully clothed – spend four minutes together every morning 100% focused on each other.

What is your focus on? (and How it Affects Your Confidence and Faith In Yourself)
| |
| I have a confession to make. I'm going to lay it out there so that you can learn from my misperception.
I recently had a 1:1 private session with my own coach. As with my own client's, my coach had me fill out my progress form before the session. I took my time with it and felt confident about clarifying my current situation and writing out my next 3 month goals.

Sales Coaching for Business Growth
| |
| Good coaching changes behaviour. But how do you generate awareness, get them to take responsibility for their actions or lack of action, and lead the person to motivate themselves and want to change? The coaching session should be a monthly session unless they require more support, and each session should have homework allocated. Once the person demonstrates they are taking action in the form of their homework, you know the coaching is effective. |
