| After returning home form a speaking engagement in New York, I wanted to relax a little and flipped channels on the TV until I came to a movie called “Beyond the Sea.” My intention was to just watch and enjoy the movie and just release all the tensions of work and travel. It was time to veg-out and not think. Then – boom – it happened. A line from the movie hit me like a thunder bolt: “People hear what they see.”

This weekend, as most, Netflix delivered right to my mailbox another movie for the kids. My six and seven year old boys, like most I’d imagine, love animated movies. Barnyard The Movie, who stars somewhat androgynous animated cows, is certainly not the best movie my family has ever watched.

| You've seen condemned houses right? I mean, it's not a pretty sight. Holes where there aren't supposed to be holes. Boards where there are supposed to be windows. All sorts of things could be or are going on in there that aren't good. Shouldn't these condemned houses just be torn down? So what's the difference between that scenario and what's going on with many of our industries, particularly here in the U.S. Can you tell me it's hard to see the similarities between the condemned houses and industries such as the U.S. auto industry. |

| Every entrepreneur should watch this movie at least three times.
I watched Cool Hand Luke on TV the other night. It is an old movie (1967) staring Paul Newman in the lead role along with George Kennedy. There is an assortment of other actors who I recognized more by their voices than their very young faces - including Wayne Rogers from the MASH TV series, and Dennis Hopper.
The story is set in 1948 at a Southern US chain-gang prison. It lives up to the label of a classic movie - enjoyable to watch and full of powerful messages.
