No Time........Really??
| |
| I love to pay attention to the language I use and also the words my clients choose. Being aware of our own language provides a window into where we may have blind spots, fears or beliefs standing in our way.
I often catch my clients using the phrase, “I just don’t have time.” It’s a sentence that suggests that we have no power over how we spend our time. And the truth is, we do. Certainly there can be negative consequences to choosing to spend our time in one way over another. And avoiding those negative consequences can drive our choices, but, at the end of the day, we are choosing! |

What You Want vs. What You Need
| |
| Real failure leads directly to transition. Real failure at midlife leads to transformation. When this occurs, we may face negative consequences. Our selfish energy will be perceived as such. Before taking action, we must take a minute and ask “What is our intent?” “How can we connect from our heart to achieve our task?” “What type of energy do I want to be in this moment?” |

Coaching Tip: Stop “Shoulding” Yourself
| |
| How often do you begin statements inside your head or out loud that begin with words like: I know I - should, shouldn’t, need to, have to, supposed to…? These words create constriction and the illusion that you have a lack of choice. The ability to have choice and make our own decisions is an important freedom; a part of having free will and spiritual growth. Without the freedom to make choices we can feel powerless and hopeless. |

It is typically the difficult, the challenging, the unsavoury things that we tend to avoid, but they are often necessary to complete if we want to achieve success in our daily lives. One phone call. How To Promote Your Business For Free By Giving Downloadable Gifts
| |
| Economic hard times and recession are upon us.... I know that because the media tells me so. I have long said that, “What is real in your mind, is real in it's consequences.” and it is no truer than when you are faced with an overwhelming juggernaut of “Chicken Little” styled bad news. Am I saying that the media is wrong, “Of course not.” but what I am saying is that people who do not have a clue about the forces that drive the economy are now terrified—almost by osmosis—into not spending any extra money, which in turn only adds to the negative forces driving the poor economy further downward. So how does the aspiring entrepreneur thrive in a negative economy? By using the mass hysteria to your benefit and giving away free unique, memorable quality, downloadable gifts to promote your business. |

Not On My Watch!
| |
| The thing that I have discovered about stress and worry is that the more time we spend idly thinking about the negative things that are happening in our lives; the more we are prone to worry about the consequences that will occur. If we could be more proactive and keep constant watch over what we allow to enter in, we will find that we will be less worried and much more productive. |

Big Bird’s Guide to Change Management - Learn your A, B, C, Ds
| |
| In the 1950s, psychologist Albert Ellis introduced Rational Therapy in which people were taught the A-B-C-D approach for dealing with uncomfortable situations. The A-B-C-D approach states that when a person is confronted with an adversity A, their beliefs B, will influence the way they respond to that adversity and lead to emotional and behavioral consequences C.
If the beliefs B, are rigid, absolute, and unrealistic, the consequences C, will likely be self-defeating and destructive. If the beliefs B, are flexible and constructive, the consequences C, will likely be self-helping and constructive. People can change their lives and their consequences by D, disputing and challenging their beliefs. |
