Your Hardware Selection Depends on
You would think as our technology becomes more advanced it would also become more simplified but that just isn't happening. We keep introducing new products (sometimes boldly called category killers) and then somehow people figure out how to add more features, more capabilities, more everything all to show you don't need the other guy's thing. Doesn't happen instead we have more -- of everything! We have more notebooks, more netbooks, more tablets, more smartphones, more plain old phones, just more!! So we get a bigger backpack and add the new category killer with the earlier category killers. All we have to do is figure out who's environment we're working in from time to time

Why you need to build your online presence with caution
Whatever the reason for you stepping into cyberspace, be careful how you present yourself.

The 3rd Screen Enters the Personal, Business World
With all the tablets and apps being shown at CES it was tough to believe that Apple wasn't at the show. Oh they were at the show they just weren't at the show! Hard to believe that a year plus ago there wasn't a tablet product category and at CES there were 80+ devices being shown. So will they take over the world as some forecast? If so who will be the winners, survivors, hangers on? With our cold, steely logic and raw guts/perception we'll give you our outlook right here... It's an exciting technology, marketplace that is becoming readily available to you and those around you...take a look

If and when the ‘iPad’ arrives, it won’t be a stopgap solution
Whether the rumored "iPad" comes out this year or next, Apple will almost certainly position the device (assuming it even exists; the company has made no official statement about it) as a mobile computing device, NOT as a laptop.

Don’t bet on an Apple netbook—but an ‘iPod HD,’ well, that’s more likely
Yesterday it was reported that Taiwan-based Wintek will supply touch panels for a new Apple netbook (or perhaps an “iPod HD”) and shipments will start in the third quarter this year. Don’t look for a netbook per se, but a bigger iPod is what I’m betting my money on.

Desktop or Laptop?
In this article I have compared a regular desktop with a small computer like laptop, tablet or phone. I tried to explain how a personal computer is more useful than a laptop. I elaborated in detail how it’s harmful for mental health, eyes and physique. The conclusion is, a desktop is better than a portable computer.

A look at the latest iPhone, netbook rumors—and my prognosis of ‘em
Speculation has fired up again about upcoming iPhones and the rumored Apple netbook. Here’s a round-up of what’s now being bandied about—and what the Sellers Research Firm (that’s me) has to say about each one.

We Need A Storage Jedi
Your smartphone, your notebook/netbook/tablet, your camera. We can't grab enough short/long version video and social media stuff to enjoy every waking moment. Some of it has to carry over and rather than search for it again we store it...somewhere. Then we store it again...and again...and again. In a few years documents, data, content volumes will increase by a whopping factor of 44. Think about it...the world, your world revolves around storage. Sure you can put it in someone's cloud but do you really stuff your stuff to "them?" Nope! So we'll produce more -- more HD, more flash, more optical, more tape, more.... See what the future holds for you and everyone else.

Content - Entertainment Everywhere
How can ereaders be selling so well and everyone gets excited about where your TV and other video content is going to be viewed? Run around the globe to the major conferences/conventions and the big excitement is all about giving people their content, their way when/where they want and how they want to watch it. In your living room, notebook/netbook/tablet and on your smartphone. It is definitely going to be your content, your way. Everyone is prepared to deliver it is just going to be tough to figure out who will make money off the deal. Thousands of channels will soon give way to one channel -- yours! Bummer...now you'll have no one to blame for the dumb shows to watch.

A Bad Idea Isn’t a Strategy, Just a Bad Idea
Everyone said netbooks were going to kill notebooks – cheaper, lighter, longer lasting battery, cloud connected. Then the tablet was going to kill the netbook and the notebook was OK. Now the netbook – renamed – is going to be the cheap, anywhere solution because everything will be in the cloud…and everyone. Yep hackers, phishers, whackers, malwarers and that’s where you want us to put our everything.? Malware hit an all-time high last quarter and it's doesn't look like anyone has a quick fix for keeping the mean, greedy away.

Several Ways to Increase the Range and Reliability of Your Wireless Router Connection
The majority of computer users require Internet connection to connect to social network sites or search engines etc. If the computer is in a fixed location then cabled LAN connection is usually used. However, if you are using a notebook, laptop or netbook then a wireless connection is usually adopted to link to the Internet. Unfortunately, wireless WI-FI Internet connections are often slow and unreliable particularly when the router is some distance from the computer. In this article I will explain how you may improve the reliability and speed of a WI-FI connection.
