It is What it Is - And Why That's OK
Accepting that everything and everyone in your life is, simply, exactly what it is, is a powerful perspective. When you do this, you don't have to waste time wishing things were different, complaining about how things are or wondering how you might have stopped it. All you have to do, is see (accept) what is, decide how you want things to be moving forward, and get on with your life.

DESIGNING A WEBSITE FOR SEARCH ENGINES

The Changing Face of Sales
Over the past few years the sales environment has changed in a number of ways. The reasons are vast but typically relate to the changes in our society, economy, business models, technology and more. When it comes right down to the actual selling environment, there are a few distinct attributes that stand out today that didn’t seem to be as noticeable, or even a factor, just five or six years ago. The key for all sales organizations and individual sales professionals alike is to understand and adapt to these changes. Few organizations today still live through the experience of the ‘90s where prospects would actually call them and buy something without having to work hard at finding and acquiring these leads. Back then, even poor sales performance was rewarded with revenue and quota achievement, in spite of a lack of skills and hard work.

Be a Positive Outlier and Change Your World
When you think of it, George Washington was an outlier and so were characters such as Dr. Martin Luther King, Galileo, Mother Teresa, Joan of Arc and Nelson Mandela. Are you a positive outlier? When an outlier is removed from a set of data, its influence is gone. In your sphere of life or work, can your absence be noticeable? Would people wish you were still available to affect their work or life in a positive way? You don't need talent to be an outlier. You need vision of the future you want, decisions to get you started on a path toward your vision and actions that bring you results.

Pew Survey indicates that blogging has lost its lustre, but do you agree?
Earlier this week I received an e-mail from a fellow host on the Blog Talk Radio Network in which the link to a February 21st article in the Music Industry News Network titled "Social Media and Young Adults" was included. The article made reference to “Two Pew Internet Project surveys,” that revealed a noticeable “decline in blogging among teens and young adults,” and a “modest rise among adults 30 and older.” My associate thought that I would find this interesting in that besides posting between 2 to 4 articles on 4 (and soon to be 6) blogs each week, she was interested in getting my take on these findings as I have been a strong proponent of the important synergy between maintaining a blog in conjunction with one’s BTR show.

Surveying the Small Business Financing Landscape
Over the past month or so, there has been a noticeable shift in the dialog coming out of Washington, D.C. with regard to economic priorities, with a stronger emphasis on job creation. As part of this emphasis, the federal government has proposed and launched several initiatives to help increase access to capital and grow small business financing. But I'm not sure that a lack of access to capital is what’s really holding community banks back from doing more small business financing. Only 11 percent of respondents to a recent survey said they had sought new lines of credit or small business financing over the past year in an effort to help improve their cash flow. Read on for more interesting results from this Forbes Insights-CIT study.

Are you Re-trenching or Re-imagining
Rumor has it that the economy is slowly slowly slowly recovering in a few disparate markets. Employment specifically NOT being one of them in any noticeable way. The good news is that no matter the situation we find ourselves, we are getting smarter about how we utilize our resources, especially relationships, education, time, and money. Call it re-imagining. Like many of us, you are likely alternating between the genuine good feeling of wising up about your resources and being paralyzed with fear and indecisiveness, unable to decide what to do, thus doing nothing. This might be defined as re-trenching. Hmm, feel that tightening in your chest? Don't forget to breath.

To put it briefly, you certainly should have a building backlinks tactic if you really want to ensure that your site is noticeable.
