LAUGHTER AND YOUR HEALTH
Did you know that according to research, children laugh about 400 times a day while adults only laugh about 15 times a day? Some how we lost the ability to laugh, as we got older. Could it be that putting more humour and laughter into our day will improve our health and wellbeing?

Marriage
As the 10th of 12 children, my older brothers and sisters obviously got here many years before I did. Two of my older brothers and two of my older sisters had failed marriages. Since I was at the bottom of the production chain, my younger brother and I had the benefit of what my mother had observed and taught us. She pointed out that we should never date a girl more than once or twice if we discovered we would be unwilling to have her as the mother of our children and be unwilling to take her wherever we were and introduce her with pride to anyone. I listened intently to what my mother had to say. I chose carefully.
Knowledge is Power or is it
Any child of 2 or 3 years of age can tell you that 2 + 2 = 4. They have heard it repeated, over & over, until they can repeat it themselves. But, when confronted with 4 apples, they are at a loss to apply that information. The same holds true for older students (and even adults) who can readily tell you that Einstein’s Theory of Relativity can be expressed by the formula, E = MxCsquared. - Until they know what the E, M & C stand for and can use the formula in a practical application, it is only information, not knowledge.

Having a Purpose
As children we are always asking the question ‘why?’ This often results in the majority of adults becoming frustrated with our incessant questioning. Through this we learn to tone down our questions as we get older. This, however, does not mean that we are not curious and do not want to know. In our workplace, or anywhere we are asked to make a commitment and strive to achieve something, the question looming in our mind is why? Why are we doing this? What is the point? What will we achieve as a result of doing this?
ADHD and Addiction

Pew Survey indicates that blogging has lost its lustre, but do you agree?
Earlier this week I received an e-mail from a fellow host on the Blog Talk Radio Network in which the link to a February 21st article in the Music Industry News Network titled "Social Media and Young Adults" was included. The article made reference to “Two Pew Internet Project surveys,” that revealed a noticeable “decline in blogging among teens and young adults,” and a “modest rise among adults 30 and older.” My associate thought that I would find this interesting in that besides posting between 2 to 4 articles on 4 (and soon to be 6) blogs each week, she was interested in getting my take on these findings as I have been a strong proponent of the important synergy between maintaining a blog in conjunction with one’s BTR show.

Heroines
We love our moms. Especially as adults, and especially as parents ourselves. It wasn’t until I became a parent that I ‘got’ what my mom must have gone through with me. We’re so narcissistic as children and young adults it’s difficult to get perspective, or to understand the courage it takes to raise children.

The Benefits of Working
Many older adults view work as a worthwhile activity that they have no plans to retire from.Each person in the work place can find satisfaction in a job well done with pride. It is this spirit that sets the successful person apart.
While Meandering, Emerging Adults Can Skill up and Get a Leg Up for Success
Beyond traditional schooling, which emerging adults have often moved on from, what skills will most place the emerging adult on their fruitful pathway? If prospective emerging adults are interpersonally effective and operationally excellent no matter where their path of exploration leads them, they are more likely to find best fit careers and jobs, and companies will more likely benefit by their discretionary effort.
