Turn Your Opinion Into New Biz: How to Get Your Op-Ed Published
In business, companies are constantly looking for new ways to stand out over their competition, but don't always know how to. Most turn to marketing and advertising tactics, but the truth is, publicity could be even more effective. Publicity can come in many forms, but writing and getting an op-ed published gives businesses the opportunity to share their opinion, bring awareness to an issue or comment on a controversial topic, all while getting their name published and read by the masses. The editorial page is considered the most prestigious real estate in the newspaper, but how can you appear there?

Do I Practice What I Preach?
At dinner I was pondering the answer I gave on the post How An Entrepreneur Can Protect Himself Post-Funding. Something was bothering me about it and I thought to myself “do I practice what I preach?” (Amy suggested that I should be bothered by my title of the post, which should have been “… Can Protect Himself or Herself …”)

Excellent Story on the Failure of Monitor110
It's unusual for a founder to write a long thoughtful post on the failure of his company. Roger Ehrenberg - the co-founder of Monitor110 - which shut down earlier this week, did just that on his outstanding post titled Monitor110: A Post Mortem. The post is oriented around Roger's "seven deadly sins":

How to Avoid Burnout and Gain a Fresh Perspective: An Uplifting Lesson From the Beach
A day at the beach is one of those American images of happiness and relaxation, but in reality, there's much more to learn from the shoreline. Software developers can start earning from Palm Pre apps in September
This week, Palm announced the latest phase of its strategy to take on Apple’s iPhone and Research in Motion’s Blackberry by offering a range of innovative applications for users to purchase for the Palm Pre. According to the company, software developers will be able to begin charging customers for downloading their applications from an ecommerce beta program in September. The move follows last month’s release of the Mojo Software Development Kit, which was viewed as a step forward in Palm’s efforts to strengthen relationships with developers.

Palm releases kit to software developers
After a long wait and much anticipation, software developers can finally gain widespread access to the Palm Mojo Software Development Kit to create apps for the Palm Pre. On Thursday, the Mojo SDK was made available on the company’s webOS developer page, which also offers guidelines, a forum for developers and other documentation intended to assist in the process. But will the release of the kit help alleviate the lack of applications available on the company’s new smartphone, a factor viewed by some as a potential roadblock to its success?

Are you a “Paper Person?” Consider an Electronic To Do List
For those of you who still use paper for a to do list, like pads of paper, a planner, post-it notes, or maybe you use your memory entirely, consider making a change to an electronic to do list. It doesn't have to be in Outlook. It can be in Palm or Entourage or Lotus Notes. Outlook, in my opinion, happens to be the best and most powerful, but a good task management system is workable in other software systems too.
