1.15 Building an employment agenda: Working Out of Poverty
Employment, and the promotion of enterprise that creates it, remains the most effective route to poverty eradication. The objective of full employment is essential – an issue on which the European Union has given political leadership. Most policy prescriptions, however, do not view job creation as an explicit objective of economic and social policies, but rather as a hopedfor result of sound macroeconomic policies. At the ILO, we believe that sound macroeconomic policies are essential for desired growth, but such growth must be employment-intensive to effectively reduce poverty. While the main challenge remains at the national level, development cooperation has a role to play. Donor countries and institutions, especially international financial institutions, should build this in as an integral part of their vision.

Authenticity Draws Attention Wings Story
When my dog Wing acts on his authentic nature, he almost always draws extra attention-- and it is not always applause. It may be that this is not so different from what we humans experience when we are so bold as to act in accordance with our nature.... you decide...

Lesson #4: Take Control
“I don't like formal gardens,” said Disney. “I like wild nature. It's just the wilderness instinct in me, I guess." Despite his apparent disregard for structure, Disney was a hands-on entrepreneur, who enjoyed taking control over all aspects of his company. While it was in part personality-driven, Disney’s hands-on nature was also due to a lesson he learned the hard way early on in his career.

Money with Meaning: Living Your Life “On Purpose”
Why are you here? Why are you on the planet right now? Many people believe we each come into this life with a purpose, a reason for living. Considering that every element in nature has a specific purpose for existing, and we are an integral part of nature, it stands to reason that we have a purpose too.

LEADERSHIP IS NATURE
Leadership is happening not doing. It’s just happen. It is always with least effort. Something you have to do or keep on doing without love is not a leadership. Let us believe nature = happening . Organizational Change - Of Ferns and Fractals
Last time your took a walk in nature did you ask yourself “who controls all this stuff?” I would venture to say that you did not. Most of us take a walk just to enjoy the fresh air-but not Margaret Wheatley. Margaret looked at the natural world and asked herself: “how can there be so much order in a nature without anyone in control of it?”. For example how is there so much symmetry in a plant such as a fern?

What Happens During A Genetic Consultation?
Ever since the Human Genome Project was completed in 2003, medical professionals are better able to determine which genes may be a carrier or a source of a disease which can be genetic in nature. Leadership Lessons Come In Many Forms
You may have missed this unless you were visiting the Jefferson Building at the Library of Congress recently. A female Cooper Hawk is flying loose there and the question is how to help her get out. However, there is a deeper, more important question that our Native American kin would also ask. What is the message that she brings? There is so much wisdom we miss when we disconnect from the messages of nature. Outer nature is a reflection of our inner nature and having lived in New Mexico and studied with Native teachers I have learned to stop and ask why a certain animal shows up in real life or in my dreams. The answers are always illuminating.
