What Is Inside Of You? Peace and Happiness? Or Stress and Turmoil?
Yesterday, I saw Jack LaLanne on a television program. Yes, the 94-year old fitness expert and inspiration to millions and millions of people is still going strong. In the closing remarks for the interview, Jack left his audience with the following thought. “You are responsible for everything you do - both on the outside and also inside of you.”

Finding Happiness by living in the present
Learning how to live in the present is a major key to finding happiness. Living in the past will be filled with regret. Living in the future usually means living in fear. Only in the present will we be content

Finding Happiness by giving of your time
Discover why despite of our busy lives and over committed schedules the giving of our time is such an important part to finding true happiness.

Three Tips for Balancing Your Life
When your life seems out of control and you've got endless demands tugging at you from all directions, it's easy to feel overwhelmed, fatigued - and just plain stressed!

The Four Agreements at Work: An Inside Job
In his book The Four Agreements, Don Miguel Ruiz distills the essence of Toltec wisdom into four principles for living a life of value: 1. Be impeccable with your word. 2. Don’t take anything personally. 3. Don’t make assumptions. 4. Always do your best. How elegantly simple and, as some might say, a “no brainer!” But simple wisdom isn’t common practice. While most of us believe we are impeccable with our word, we know others who are not. And most likely, others, from time to time, consider us far less than impeccable.

Be More to Do More
Far too many people are trying to do more to be happy instead of trying to be more. Those who seek more peace and happiness in their lives describe what they "do" in a normal day as feeling overwhelmed and unable to get a handle on their lives. When I write the word do on a white board for each activity they perform-from the moment they wake up-within three minutes I have usually written the word do almost a hundred times.

How to Cultivate Social Relationships
To achieve a high level of joy and happiness in life, we must be socially involved with people. This involves getting along well with others, having friends and companions, and offering help to those who need it. We are all part of a social environment, and our social environment provides us with many opportunities for fun, excitement, enjoyment, charity, and love. Indeed, one of the most rewarding things you can do is to reach out to others-to connect with others on a heartfelt level.

Do Not Feed The Inner Demons
We can become caught up in a cycle of self-pity and discouragement. But we do not have to feed this inner demon. We can nourish the nice guy, and use the tools of meditation to find peace of mind. And nothing is more powerfully persuasive in sales than a person who exudes inner peace.

How to Be Happy: 3 Proven Steps
Happiness is something I think all of us are seeking and find it most rewarding. Happiness is a choice. I want to take a few moments and share some thoughts on happiness.

The Secret of Happiness
Happiness has become a hot scientific topic over the last two decades. Recently the BBC presented a six part series called The Happiness Formula. This series covered topics such as: 1. Think yourself happy 2. The politics of happiness 3. The power of happiness 4. The happiness recipe The scientific tests supporting the series suffered, to some extent, because happiness relies upon the subjective self assessment by an individual of their own happiness rather than an objective measure. However, that suggests that happiness is something that can be objectively measured and that may not be so. Perhaps each of us have our own definition of happiness that are all equally valid.

Is My Happiness Where I Really Think It is?
I have discovered that the topic of "happiness" is one of those taboo subjects that people don't want to talk about or get uncomfortable around. Which really is unfortunate because that same discussion could lead to some new information that could shift everything. Happiness, like anything else worth having, needs to be evaluated, needs to be worked on, needs new information and tools to pave the way for a greater level of happiness and requires our attention and commitment. Happiness is something to get excited about, not something to be feared or resisted. And happiness is available to everyone regardless of any current or existing circumstances. Now that's exciting. If you are open to some new infromation, please read the article. Warning: The reading of this article can cause more happiness!

Complete not perfect
If we are not content within ourselves then nothing, repeat nothing, will make us happy. Winning the lottery will certainly give us pleasure – we will be able to satisfy our desires, but it will not bring us happiness. Pleasures are superficial and all external – such as buying new clothes, food, alcohol, drugs and engaging in extreme sports. They need to be repeated because desires can never be satisfied. Happiness comes from inner peace with a contented and tranquil mind and an understanding of who we are, which includes our ethics, morals values and virtues. This understanding allows an acceptance of what we perceive to be our current ‘drivers’ for whatever actions, thoughts or behaviour patterns that make up our lives.

Lesson #5: “Work and live to serve others.”
“Work and live to serve others, to leave the world a little better than you found it and garner for yourself as much peace of mind as you can,” advised Sarnoff. “This is happiness.”

10 Paths to Accessing Peace
