A CEO of a fairly large-sized but under-performing OEM asked us to evaluate his sales force. One of the three regional managers, who assessed as poorly as any regional manager could, called to complain about his results. The Global Significance of Art
As an artist, I believe that art lives. There is the spirit of the artist in each original piece of art. Of this I am sure. Does the spirit move also into each reproduction? This I am not so sure of. What I do know is that a piece of art can stop one cold in his or her tracks or a group of people cold in their tracks. You can see this yourself whenever you go to a major museum where they have the masters in their collections. And, of course, contemporary artists can also stop people in their tracks. Art is powerful. I love being an artist. I love that what Kant said about come comparing artists to God. Of course, it all comes from God. Where art is concerned, globally, it is a small world indeed.
BUILDING A HIGH PERFORMING TEAM
When you see a high performing team, whether in sport or business, they really stand out. So what’s their secret? Are they just a better group of individuals brought together in one team, or is there something more to it? High performing teams don’t just happen by accident and there are always a number of common ingredients that they all share.
