Are You Using The Force Within?
There is an incredible energy and power within each of us just waiting to be unleashed by our Core Desires-I call it the Conquering Force. To conquer is to get what we seek or overcome obstacles by physical, mental, or moral force. And force is the power to act effectively and to move against resistance. And so your Conquering Force is your innate ability to act effectively to get what you seek by overcoming all obstacles and resistance in your way. By tapping into the Conquering Force, we can achieve amazing results.

Two kinds of 'don't know'
I don't know French. I can't play the piano. I have no clue how to catch a bony spinefish. This is the first kind of don't know. Stuff you don't know because you haven't been taught it yet. Books are awfully good at solving this problem, so are good teachers.

What Instrument Do You Play In The Symphony Of Life?
It is sometimes hard to figure out your place in life. What is your purpose? What are you meant to do in life? I like to think of life as a large symphony. Each player in the symphony plays a certain part. There are different instruments in each section –piano, violins, cellos, flutes, trumpets, percussion. Each section seeks to play in harmony with the other.

The Changing Face of Executive Recruitment
In an ideal world, when there is a need to hire an executive or professional, you would select someone from your back ‘bench’ database of pre-qualified candidates. Cost and time to get this person on board would be negligible compared to initiating a standard recruitment effort. Now, cost containment of executive recruitment can be a reality.

HIRE TOO FAST and / or FIRE TOO SLOW ©
Like A Bach Piano Contest? One small business owner shared this experience: “When I hired Sharon, my wife asked me, ‘how well do you know her?’ Two years later, I spent $150,000.00 in legal fees and a month in court. I will never forget my wife’s question.” There are fundamentally 25 different ‘Behavioral Characteristics’ that once known will precisely prognosticate how a person will perform on the job. The results have nothing to do with intelligence, knowledge, experience, personality or education.

Why Professional Experience Hinges on Personal Value
The personal value attached to the people you do business with directly affects your professional experience. Treating others with the same respect and dignity you’d expect isn’t the bench mark in business. Try treating complete strangers as though they were your closest friends and you’ll immediately become valuable to them.

Owning Your Own Business is Painful – Get Your Head Examined
Wherever you are on the path towards owning your own business, stop at the nearest bench, stare into space and examine your head. Do some serious introspection. It’s easy to fantasize about owning your own business, but to make that fantasy a reality there are seven “must do” items you need to tackle first, before you spend a penny on any business opportunity.

Deadlines Are Your Friend
As a student at Juilliard, most of my “studying” revolved around practicing for my weekly piano lesson – and with all day everyday to spend in the practice room, it was hard to maintain intense focus. When the day of my lesson rolled around though, guess what: I was suddenly able to shift into high gear, tune out the usual distractions (“Alex the cellist is practicing shirtless again?”) and get into a place of deep concentration. Three hours would fly by like that.
