Blurb Books a Great Tool for Telling Your Story
I ran into a service called Blurb at the SXSW Interactive Conference this March and think they have a tool that has some great small business marketing applications. The service lets you take written words and images and turn them into very professional looking hard bound books in small quantities.

Lesson #1: Playing it Safe is Not Playing at All
When Barnum was just 19 years old, he started the weekly newspaper, “The Herald of Freedom.” Based in Danbury, Connecticut, the paper was meant to be controversial from the onset. Barnum wanted to use the four-page “Herald” as a platform from which to argue against religious oppression and the militant Calvinism in which he was brought up. On every issue was even printed Thomas Jefferson’s famous saying, “For I have sworn upon the Altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man.”

COPYRIGHT LAW INDIA
Copyright law provides for protection of original works of authorship including literary, dramatic, musical, artistic, cinematographic, photographic and sound recording works. Copyright protects the expression of ideas in a tangible form. Protection starts as soon as an idea is expressed on a tangible form. Tangible form includes anything that can be touched and perceived. Expression on electronic media is considered to be a tangible form of expression.

Understanding Barcode and RFID
Barcode: A barcode is a computer readable representation of information. Initially, barcodes stored data in the widths and spacing of printed parallel lines, but today they also come in patterns of dots, concentric circles, and text codes. Barcodes can be read by optical scanners called barcode readers or scanner. Barcodes are widely used to implement automatic data capture systems that improve the speed and accuracy of computer data entry RFID: RFID is an abbreviated form of Radio Frequency IDentification, a technology similar in theory to bar code identification.

Create Your Top Ten List for Marketing
Create a top ten list to answer this question. Print this list on a postcard or flyer. Publish it on your website or blog. Memorize the list but never say all ten at one time. Tell people one or two then give them the printed list to read on their own. Reading the printed list will be more believable and convincing than you droning on. And very few people can deliver a top ten list as entertaining as Dave Letterman.

Should the Print Newsletter Just Die - And Let Ezines Takeover?
There's no question about it. Printed newsletters should have died a long time ago. But a funny thing happened on the way to the funeral. The printed company newsletter has suddenly became Lazarus - and a resurrection took place.

All About Books: The Dos and Don’ts of Books for Print and Web
When you’re deciding to write a book, a few things come to mind. You’ll want to determine your core audience, your topics, and how you might eventually go about selling your book. Both printed books and ebooks are an art form, both of which can be enhanced with a few guidelines. Unlike websites, a book has a lifespan that takes it from rough draft to final version where the words will stay the same. More care will probably be taken to make sure the completed book has longevity and relevance.

Do or Don't Pending List
As a blind person in a print and paper world, I have learned several lessons that I think can benefit us all. Since I have people read all of my mail and other printed material, I have formulated a policy over the years. That is, to handle all paperwork only once. Initially, this started as a means to maximize the time and effort of those whose eyes I use to decipher printed documents. I have discovered that this policy is even more effective in creating efficiency and priorities in my life.

Your photo on canvas
Having your photo printed onto canvas is a very big and growing fashion in wall decoration and today's interior design. It's where you can have your own photo printed onto real canvas then stretched over a real wooden frame for a unique look and feel throughout your home.

Judging a Book
You've heard it said that you can't judge a book by its cover. This has never been more true as the next book you buy may not even have a cover. Several months ago, retail publishers reported that there were more electronic books sold in a month than printed books. This is staggering to consider. One of the publishing experts I really respect, Dan Poynter, put it in perspective, saying, "It took cars 40 years to replace the horse, the CD took just 15 years to replace the vinyl record, but it's taken just four years for the Kindle to overtake printed books on Amazon."

True and Accurate
One of my favorite movies, Absence of Malice, explores the contrast between things that are true and things that are accurate. Recently, The New York Times reported that in one year, it made approximately 3,500 errors in the print edition of its daily newspaper. It went on to report that, nationally, 60% of all newspaper articles contain at least one error or inaccuracy, but only 2% of these mistakes are ever corrected in the form of a printed retraction.
