An Attitude of Gratitude for Your Business
An attitude of gratitude in your business world means being grateful for what you are doing, for the vision of doing it, for the people who are doing it with you, and for the people who are buying your products or services.

How To Get Great Testimonials
As customers become more cautious and more skeptical, so does the need for great testimonials become more critical. Most of us have a few testimonials, but almost no one has a process for systematically going after them as a strategic priority. Social proof is one of the most powerful selling tools available and Street-Smart Marketers make it a priority to obtain it and provide it to prospects.

The Not-To-Do List: 9 Habits to Stop Now
“Not-to-do” lists are often more effective than to-do lists for upgrading performance. The reason is simple: what you don’t do determines what you can do. Here are nine stressful and common habits that entrepreneurs and office workers should strive to eliminate. The bullets are followed by more detailed descriptions. Focus on one or two at a time, just as you would with high-priority to-do items. I’ve worded them in no-to-do action form:

How To Spend More Time With Your Family
A coaching call with a new client prompted me to write this week's article. Mary admitted with great sadness that it was her family that suffered the most from her being so consumed by her business. When you make your family a priority, you will find the time to spend with them. I hope this week's article will move you to get a grip on your priorities and take action.

Small Business Tips: Turning Words Into Deeds
Deed is just another name for action. First you need to ensure you have thought and imagined the foundations of your business – getting clear on your products, services and customers. Next you need to have "inked" these thoughts into plans, brochures, web sites and copy. Finally you need to take action. Action is where you put your energy behind your thoughts. There are many sayings around the importance of action "You miss 100% of all shots you fail to take", "You've got to be in it to win it" and "The journey of 1000 miles begins with just one step" are a few of my favourites.

Time Management
The most valuable resource we have, is time and sales people more than anyone know how challenging it can be to cram everything that needs to be done into their available time. According to Stephen R. Covey, author of ‘First Things First’ we should focus on our high priority tasks, those that provide the biggest levers towards achieving our goals. That’s why, being clear on what you want to accomplish in every facet of your life will determine the importance and therefore the priority of everything you need to do.

Who do you know about NETWORKING ?
Networking is about maintaining and nurturing your network of contacts and making this your priority. Is not about getting something out of your network. Networking is about sharing what you have, is about asking for favours and returning them and most probably not to the same person who helped you. Networking is about bringing people together and seeing how they get along and profit from your introductory action.

Action Plan Example
Action plans are fairly common in business, but probably done wrong as often as not. A lot of people do not understand what an action plan is and often mistake it for a COE or Correction Of Errors, not one of my favorite types of documents. Having a good action plan starts with an understanding of what an action plan is and a great action plan example would be a huge help in this. An action plan is a forward looking document and should be addressed as one. When looking at an action plan example one should take this into account. Action plans prevent business gaffs, keep everyone on task and help smooth out operations. In a way they could be considered a mini business plan, though I tend to look at them as a working business plan.

Keep it Simple
A department manager in a struggling company recently summed up what's wrong with many organizations. Contemplating his firm's abysmal performance, he told me: "We have lots of projects, goals and priorities. We're constantly making lists and setting action plans. But we seldom see anything through to completion before some urgent new priority is pushed at us."

It Takes More Than Marketing to Attract Big Bucks
Marketing is an action. Action doesn’t create a result. It’s all about what is driving the action. You need to be fully into it before, during and after the action for it to create the impact that you want.
