Going Global: Google\'s Ascent

They originally used the Stanford University website as the host for their program, with their website being google.stanford.edu.

What keeps millionaires from becoming angel investors?
It is estimated that only 10% of those millionaires that would qualify as accredited investors actually invest capital into early stage private companies. Recognizing that all investments with potential to produce at least double digit ROI have some risk associated with that asset class investment. So with the socio-economic benefits of angel investing - bring innovation to the market, create jobs, create wealth - why don't more millionaires at least dabble in angel investing? This article explores the theories uncovered by Author Karen Rands' investigative team.

Abstract - E-COMMERCE FOR DEVELOPMENT: PROSPECTS AND POLICY ISSUES
In this paper, we analyse the potential contribution of the Internet and its commercial application to the development process in poor countries. In historical perspective, the Internet has diffused at a far faster rate than earlier generations of communications technology: from 1990 to early 2000, the estimated number of Internet users grew more than tenfold to roughly 300 million, affecting the way in which people communicate with each other, acquire information, learn, do business, and interact culturally. Our particular focus is on the opportunities e-commerce offers to small-scale entrepreneurs in developing countries and the challenges they face in exploiting e-commerce’s potential.

5.1 Fiscal space is critical for diversification: Economic Report on Africa 2007
The positive but insignificant result for the impact of fiscal balance on diversification shows that macro stability plays a role for the success of diversification efforts. 5.1 Investment is vital for an economy to diversify: Economic Report on Africa 2007
The inverse relationship between investment and the diversification index shown in table A5.1 indicates that as the level of investments increases, there is a tendency for economies to become more diversified. The smaller the diversification index gets, the more diversified an economy becomes, and vice-versa for specialization. Unless a country commits a sufficient portion of its national income to building capital stock, it is unlikely to be able to diversify. Investment as measured by gross fixed capital formation turns out to be a key determinant to Africa’s diversification results.

Non-Real Estate Loans Private Lenders
Non-real estate loans from private lenders is not as hard of a proposition as one might think. But are they worth the high interest rate?
