Facility Layout and Work Flow
Facility layout is not the first step, but the last action to take to position equipment, processes and people in a building. First create the right work flow, then the layout easily follows. Your organization is different from others; products, equipment, processes, building shape, routing, inventory practice. Your work flow and subsequent layout will also be different. How To Keep Your Business Afloat
I was talking with my good friend Doug Maurer the other day. Doug is the founder and owner of Brian-Kyles Construction, which is a landscaping company based in Northeast Ohio. Doug was talking with me about a plant in my front yard that wasn't doing so well. He was explaining how I should cut the shrub down to its base to re-balance the plant so the roots were larger than the plant itself. And then he said a magical quote, "plants don't want to die." It got me to thinking about how businesses are a lot like plants. Businesses don't want to die either. This is particularly true of small businesses.

Why Unique Content is Important
Too much similarity between pages within a site confuses the search engines. If the customer is willing to click-through onto different pages, at least give them something new to read or skim through. A lot of people in general fall into the trap of placing an uneven emphasis on the architectural layout as opposed to an even balance between layout and the actual content, providing problems with overall usability.

Have you listed all your delivery processes? What did you learn?
The chart is not that unique in that it has you list your product services down one side and then across the top it has you list your delivery processes. The uniqueness of the template is a few other tricks it has as part of the package. However I want to address your delivery processes. BTW, this template is a great way to start your journey in creating a Value Stream Mapping process.

Free Business Plan Template
An alternative to writing a business plan from scratch or using another business plan as an example is to use a free business plan template. These are nice, but do have a few drawbacks as well. One of the pluses to these is the ease with which one can fill a template out versus having to “free write” a plan from beginning to end. Having a template will keep you organized and keep your plan indexed in such a way that one does not have to worry about having a section in the wrong place, or some of the less critical, but notable sections looked over, misplaced or forgotten about. So for ease of organization the free business plan template has the thumbs up.

When properly planned and executed, meetings can efficiently communicate ideas, solve problems, and generate action items. Unfortunately, many managers waste time by holding unnecessary or ineffective meetings. Read this summary to learn how to run an effective meeting, and use Demand Metric’s Meeting Agenda Template and Meeting Minutes Template to standardize your meeting process.

Customizing Joomla! Web Templates
Joomla! is an award winning open source content management system which comes with a default website design template. The navigation structure in the default template is very moderate and can be used in the websites for general purpose.

Business Blog Step 5 - Look and Feel Right
While the content and the writing style of your blog is important, so is its look and feel which reflects on you and your business. All blog packages come with a basic template but there will be many which will use it. To avoid just fading into the crowd, make sure that you customise the template or create a new one to give your Blog its own look and feel.
