“A Business Coach’s Top Ten Tactics for Marketing Professional Services”
Marketing professional services is a real and difficult challenge. The challenges of marketing professional services are different from those of marketing products. Two major reasons for the differences are that clients cannot see or touch professional services before they buy them and the professional services are often produced and consumed simultaneously. And another reason is that marketing professional services is split among marketing, sales, professional and management staff instead of a dedicated marketing and sales force. Based upon my research and my own professional experience, I developed a Top Ten Tactics for marketing professional services. My top ten tactics for marketing professional services are:

Sales Training and the Way You Think
How you think, or your mindset, sets the tone for what follows in your career. It sets the tone for how you learn, how you interact with peers as well as prospects and clients.

Ambassador Skills and Winning Attributes
Your every act, tone and look should express a quiet, rich assurance of success.

The First 100 Days
All the pomp and circumstance of the inauguration is behind us. President Obama is in office and ready to go. Now the countdown begins on The First 100 Days. The First 100 Day Plan sets the tone and focus for an incoming President. It’s a must for the leaders of the free world. As leaders of our own worlds, shouldn’t we also have a 100 day plan to set the tone and focus for our “term”? Its’ not too late. We are only 28 days into 2009! The nature of a plan is that it is written down. Writing down your 100 day goals creates tremendous power.

Become the Star You Are Meant to Be
You want more out of life than just a job. Whether you work for a large company, a startup, a nonprofit, or you are an entrepreneur, you want to be a star; a complete and total personal and professional success. But professional success is complicated and may be elusive. To achieve professional success and become the star you are meant to be you need a professional success blueprint.

Focus On Profitable, Targeted Traffic to Succeed Online
It drives me nuts when I'm helping a client who trusted a, so called, "professional" to help them with their optimization or pay-per-click campaign, and all they did was flush their money down the toilet. I'd like to take a second to make an announcement to all those "professionals" out there who insist on preying on the naivity in the marketplace ... STOP PRETENDING YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING MORONS!!!! Sorry for the harsh words and tone but I am tired of it. The more of this garbage that happens in the marketplace, the more the industry I love gets muddied up.

Tone, Style & Other Copywriting Considerations
It's important to adjust your tone and style appropriately in regard to your copywriting content and context.

Enhancing Your Business Language
What we say matters in communication. How we say it is just as important. According to Albert Mehrabian, 7 percent of face-to-face communication is words (language), and tone (38 percent). Over the telephone, words hold more weight because if we don’t understand the language used (foreign), then tone becomes irrelevant. Monotone languages (like Malay and English) are easier to learn, whereas multi-tone languages (Mandarin, for instance) is harder to master as there are four tones.

Where to focus in 2012
The common tone going into 2012 is cautious optimism.
