Your Clarity of Purpose and Success
| |
| Defining your personal clarity of purpose is the first step in becoming a personal and professional success. Use your purpose in life to guide your career and life decision making. Once you are clear on what you want from life, it becomes relatively easy to determine what you need to do to get you there. It all begins with clarity -- and only you can determine what success means for you. |

The Next Hill To Climb
| |
| I recently received an interesting letter from one of our subscribers, quite complimentary. He pointed out that he particularly enjoyed one week's edition of the newsletter having to do with success. Then he elaborated on the fact that he has achieved so many things--God has been really good to him--and his question was, "I guess it's like winning the World Series or the Super Bowl. After you have done that, there simply isn't a Universe Series or a Galaxy Bowl to win. When you are on top, how do you find a bigger hill to climb? Or do you?" |

Finding Your Purpose in Life through Entrepreneurship
| |
| We have become a society of followers. Like sheep, we are herded and fed from our master's seconds and leftovers. Few ever realize what they are truly worth because the wealth and empowerment is in the hands of the elite. The scraps that the major corporations feed the masses are just enough to keep them hanging on. We continue to hang with the false sense of security that is ingrained on our brains by those in power. |

80/20 Principle in Entrepreneurship
| |
| To work effectively and profitably in business our 20% input of work should yield 80% output.
1. Where is the 20% input in your daily work either at home or in business that returns 80% rewards?
2. What has to happen in your business to pay attention and focus on that best 80% return?
We should act on what inspires us. Sometimes unknown to ourselves, there is a power in us greater than our resistance. Because of this we should feed our inspiration and starve our resistance. Do not rob the world of what you have to share. |

What is the TRUE Cost of Being Reasonable?
| |
| It does not pay to be reasonable and not go after what you really want in life. And the regret that ensues sometimes never goes away.
How about you? Any missed opportunities from being reasonable?
Most of us have been taught from a young age to be reasonable in our expectations, our desires, our requests from others and most importantly, from ourselves. We've learned that it is rude to be unreasonable, to ask too much from others and even ourselves.
But when you think about it, this is completely counter-intuitive. Our purpose in life is to follow our bliss and to go beyond what might be considered reasonable by others. |

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
| |
| Emotional Intelligence is the number one predictor of professional success and personal excellence!
Only part of our success in life can be attributed to intelligence. Other qualities: trust, integrity, authenticity, creativity, honesty, presence and resilience, are at least as important. These 'other intelligences' are collectively described as Emotional Intelligence.
Unlike intelligence, the good news is that EQ can be learned or developed; it's not something you are stuck with. We can develop in ways that can improve our relationships, our workplaces, our parenting, and our classrooms.
We could turn society on its ear if we learned to recognize our emotions and control our reactions; if we combined our thinking with our feelings; if we learned to channel our flow of feelings into creative expression, an expression of love. |

Personal Alignment
| |
| At some point, most of us have experienced that vague feeling that something isn't quite right .... even if we cannot quite put our finger on what it is.
Maybe we feel we are running on a fraction of our full potential. Or that we lack the full measure of courage / confidence that we would like to have. Or perhaps we believe we have everything in place, but our intuition does not quite go along with this analysis.
This may be indicative that some "alignment" is missing. Here is a brief overview of some of the key elements of personal alignment, even if the full relationship between them is too complex to represent here.
