Marketing Your Writing: The Basics of Selling Your Book
| |
| Marketing is important for all writers who hope to sell their work—whether that means books or articles or writing skills. I used to work for a book publishing company, and for several months I was in charge of marketing my boss’s book. It was a writing reference book, actually, and although I had no idea what I was doing when I took over the project, I learned fast and had a lot of fun doing it. |

The Chic Entrepreneur – Put Your Business in Higher Heels by Elizabeth W Gordon
| |
| The Chic Entrepreneur was written for female entrepreneurs. As a female entrepreneur who is not "girly" or "chic" - I can still recommend the book. Some of the "chic" and "girly" reference can be distracting, but the actual business content contains plenty of valuable business set up, hiring, management and promotional information. |

Authors: Rename Your Book For Another Crack At Success
| |
| There are several reasons to rename a book such as adding a subtitle to be friendlier to search engines. Another important reason is to get a new copyright date because many book critics will not review an old book and reviewers often define an “old” book as one with a copyright of more than a year old. |

A review of the book, Pitch Anything, by Oren Klaff
| |
| As President of the B2B demand generation company, Find New Customers, and a prolific blogger, I’m often invited to do book review. But after doing quite a few, one grows jaded a bit – so we ask tough questions.
The two questions I ask every time I do a book review:
Does the book bring fresh insights and perspective?
Is the book well written and easy to read?
Only a book that gets a “Yes” on both questions gets a 5 star review. |
