As a marketing strategist, I’m always looking for information to help understand human psychology. Predictably Irrational (by Dan Ariely) is full of wonderful insights on the surprising differences between logical thought and emotional consumer action.
In the Drivers Seat
Envision yourself in the driver's seat of your car. Where are you headed? What path are you taking? How long will it take you to get there? How do you get around traffic and road blocks? These are some questions that can be applied to life as well. How does one find the answer to these questions? By learning about, understanding, and applying the various powerful laws of the universe. These are the laws which govern our very existence.
Accounting made simple? I don't think so.
A light hearted look at the mere mortal's main barrier to understanding accountancy, Credits and Debits.

Any child of 2 or 3 years of age can tell you that 2 + 2 = 4. They have heard it repeated, over & over, until they can repeat it themselves. But, when confronted with 4 apples, they are at a loss to apply that information. The same holds true for older students (and even adults) who can readily tell you that Einstein’s Theory of Relativity can be expressed by the formula, E = MxCsquared. - Until they know what the E, M & C stand for and can use the formula in a practical application, it is only information, not knowledge.
