Website Content - It's All About The Why?
Every week I get asked to look at business websites and tell the owners why they're not getting the results they want. Some of these sites are straightforward brochures, others are e-commerce catalogs, and some are those direct-mail-style pitches reminiscent of old mail-order magazine subscription schemes ported-over to the Web. Some have incorporated do-it-yourself audio and video and some even had this media professionally produced; still the results stink. Why?
Obama Tell The Nation's Students
On Tue, Sep 8, 2009 in a speech reminiscent of the challenges of entrepreneurship, president Obama admonished the young minds to never give up. Once again, president Obama has used his oratorical skill in finally quenched the fire that encapsulate his planned speech to the nation's student and stirred us all to challenge obstacles and actualize our goals. Obama told the students "Take responsibility and refuse to let failure define you"... The president affirmed "If you quit, you are not just quitting on yourself, you are quitting on your country".

What Is Truth?
I found myself recently engaged in a discussion which centered around the question "what is truth?" An interesting question which poses many risks in terms of providing an answer. When I refer to risks, I am of course talking about the polar opposite exercise of earnestly pursuing too deep a philosophical debate that accomplishes little more than inflaming personal passions or, conversely, falling into a whimsical irreverence that is reminiscent of the Bill Cosby "why is there air" routine.
There is a Big Problem with Your Quantcast Ratings
Quantcast is an Internet tool somewhat reminiscent of Alexa in that it is designed to rank Internet traffic. However, while both services rank traffic that is really where much of the similarity ends. While Alexa requires users to install its Alexa toolbar on their browsers, Quantcast, by contrast, wants websites to install its software on their respective sites.
Commercial Properties Being Written Down by 50%
The CCIM Institute and the Real Estate Research Corporation recently reported that the commercial real estate recovery has become dependent on, and stands precariously linked to, the re-pricing and deleveraging of property positions, and less contingent on access to capital, given that liquidity has returned to the commercial real estate markets, and in some cases, is scarily reminiscent of the pre-credit crisis capital market environment.
