No One Is a Lost Cause
As you try to build stronger, more intimate relationships in your professional and personal life, you may come across some people who have a hard time trusting others. You may start to think they're "lost causes" - guarded, shut down, and not worthy of your efforts.

What a Business Makes
I’ve owned my business now for over twenty years, I love it, wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve worked very hard to make my business what it is, but I’ve finally come to the conclusion that, after years of hard work in this endeavor - you don’t only make a business in this process; a business makes you.

Downturns and Guerrillas
In every down economy, some businesses lose money while others seemingly coin money. This course is designed to put you into the latter category. The plain fact is that guerrillas have an advantage during tough times. They are able to work in relatively shorter time frames. Their penchant for information enables them to market more quickly and creatively to market needs.

The "Yeah, But......" Syndrome
Be open to new ideas and participate in the learning process inherent in seminars, training sessions and strategic retreats. Then it’s up to you as to how “rich” you become.

Learning To Be More Profitable
Every business will succeed or fail because of the quality and motivation of their most important resource - their people. Investing in the lives, learning and encouragement of the human resources of a business, government or not-for-profit group through seminars, workshops and retreats can be the difference you need.

Love it, or hate it – corporate retreats are an intrinsic part of organizations. What are the common objectives of such off-site events?

The Truth About Why So Many Strategic Plans Don’t Get Executed
Last week I was asked the question by a client prospect, “so how many retreats will we be doing as part of the strategic planning process?”. That got me to thinking about just how many of these retreats are probably happening in hotels across the U.S. this fall. Strategic planning retreats are a joke in terms of producing meaningful strategic plans, yet every year companies go through this ritualistic planning process. The problem is, virtually all of these so called strategy retreats provide very little value in terms of desired strategic planning outcomes.

Leaders Focus on Reflection and Renewal
Very often we find that managers and their teams are so busy working in the business that they have little time to work on the business. Meetings, deadlines, full email in-boxes, phone calls - comprised mostly of operational activities - suck up huge amounts of time and energy. We've often tried to work with such ineffective managers to set up training workshops and off-site planning retreats. But they are typically too busy fighting fires to spend time on any prevention strategies. As they work ever harder, the fires burn ever bigger. Too often this leads to burned-out managers, demoralized frontline staff, and slipping performance.
