Behavioural Intelligence, Impact and Influence in Negotiation – The Good, The Bad and The Ugly of Common Vision

In influencing others you are balancing at least two factors, namely the result you want to achieve and the relationship you want to maintain. Too much emphasis on the result at the expense of the relationship may mean you get what you want in the short term but the chances of influencing in the future are lessened. If your dominant style of influencing is Common Vision you mobilise the energy and resources of others through appeals to their hopes, values and aspirations. Emotional appeal and rich picturing are your tools and you use these to demonstrate how people can be a part of that future. You lead with a vision and people soon see how that vision applies to them and how they can be a part of it. You describe the journey and encourage them to “get on the train”.

Article #14 Want To End Your Money Worries Forever?

Those of you who have read some of my articles already know I am a big fan of Robert T. Kiyosaki's Rich Dad series and so I quote Mr. Kiyosaki a lot. Here is one of my favorites that he uses in his book 'Retire Young, Retire Rich'. Mr. Kiyosaki quotes his Rich Dad saying, "Your brain can be your most powerful asset or it can be your most powerful liability. If you use the right words in your brain you will become very rich. If you use the wrong words, your brain will make you poor." I love this saying because when I literally took it to heart, it ended my money worries forever.

Relationship = to relate with a significant other person lovingly everyday.

| Look at it as a verb "to relate with a significant other person lovingly everyday" not a noun. It is a verb – continuous – you are in a relationship for as log as you are relating with this person. And if you are doing it so lovingly then you are in a goooood relationship!
Whose responsibility is a relationship?
50-50?
80-20?
In my opinion, each partner has to give 100% in order for a relationship to work.
A real loving relationship is a partnership of mutual support and mutual pleasure and mutual respect.
