Sean by Sean Combs
Adolescents the world over might know him as Puffy Daddy or P. Diddy, but in 2004, the fashion world got a taste of the real creativity behind rapper-producer Sean Combs. That was the year Combs’ Sean John Collection of clothes earned him the title of Top Menswear Designer of the Year from The Council of Fashion Designers of America. His music may be criticized for its lack of innovation, but on that night in June 2004, Combs beat out fashion veterans Ralph Lauren and Michael Kors to take home the award. Playing no small part in receiving this award was Combs’ line of contemporary women’s wear Sean by Sean Combs.

List the Basics for Making Any Sale
There is a Ford Mustang for sale down the street. I've driven by it several times. It's a 1966 . . . or maybe a 1967. Every once in a while I stop in the middle of the street next to the car and look at the sign. All it says is "For Sale: $4000 obo" and the phone number. This tells me very little of what I need to know about the vehicle. It gives me no reason to call. No matter what you are trying to sell, and everyone is selling something, you need to provide the basics of your product or service.

Lesson #5: Do Not Waste Time Marketing Outside Your Target Audience
“If you take four street corners, and on one they are playing baseball, on another they are playing basketball and on the other, street hockey,” says White. “On the fourth corner, a fight breaks out. Where does the crowd go? They all go to the fight.”

Message from the Meltdown
In the wake of our financial mess, people from Wall Street to Capital Hill to Main Street are asking: What happened? With the help of 60's parody songster Alan Sherman, CBS's 60 Minutes and some self evaluation, I share a different perspective with a lesson you can apply. What personal development insight can we gain from this mess?

TripleBottomLine of your Sustainable business
New York City, where I live, is going through a rough patch these days. As you know, some of Wall Street’s biggest are falling all around us. Yet it is exactly as it should be. Why? The market is correcting itself from our unsustainable ways. Sustainability is really all about the triple-bottom-line: people, profits and planet. Here’s how it applies to New York’s falling giants: What is your company's triple-bottle-line, in creating a sustainable business.

How to Stop Knee Jerk Spending
If I was out street shopping and saw something new that was on special offer, I would buy it immediately with my credit card. If I was out street shopping and saw something new that was on special offer, I would be boring and totally ignore it. If I was out street shopping and saw something new that was on special offer, I would buy it later in the week with cash.

Commercial real estate lenders optimistic in 2010
Commercial real estate lenders talked about the coming year and reflect on the past year at the annual Mortgage Bankers Association Convention in Las Vegas. Most conversations about 2009 were brief, and not very uplifting, but the outlook for 2010 was extremely optimistic. Money from Wall Street to Main Street is piling up and poised for investment.

Is Outsourcing The Right Strategy For Small Businesses During Slow Economy?
“When things get tough the tough gets going.” Here the latter word “tough” implies people who equip themselves with the best practices and some added innovation to see through the rough, in this context, the slow economy. Let’s pick outsourcing, as a strategy to counter this rough time and understand whether it is a sensible move to make or not.

Acres of Diamonds
Your greatest opportunities lie under your own feet. They lie in your intellect, your talent and abilities, your education and experience, as well as with your family members, friends and business contacts. The challenge is that in the rough, a diamond does not look like a diamond that we are familiar with. It looks like a black, rough piece of rock and must be cut, shaped and polished repeatedly before it glistens like the valuable stone that it is.

Taking Your Business' Marketing In Your Own Hands – and Winning
At a time when Washington and Wall Street seem to have little or no connection with Main Street Wall Street seems to do fine no matter how much of the rest of the country is suffering, but it’s the rest of the country that matters when it comes to growing the economy. While those around you are trying to figure out what to do, or are looking at Washington or Wall Street for answers, you can take your business’s marketing matters in your own hands – and soar!
