Lessons from the Green
Want to know how to make it to the top of your game? It's easy, if you throw out many of the things you've been taught over and over. Throw out all that John Wayne rugged-individualism. Throw out that prideful "I don't want anything I don't earn myself" B.S. (I've been told I can't say bulls**t in here). The biggest lesson we need to internalize is you cannot get there alone.

Solving Priority Problems of Work Teams
Business is avidly embracing all kinds of teams as the fading century relaxes its grip on its ideals of scientific management and rugged individualism. But business teams, however robust they appear are still delicate organisms, at risk of succumbing to any number of internal and external threats. And sometimes, just when a team-or a plant full of teams-seems strongest, unanticipated problems can arise that range from time stealing and energy sapping to life threatening.

Life After Military Service
There are 2 type of heroes: Those that risk their lives to protect their family and fellow countrymen, and those that risk their financial security to preserve the fundamentals of their country's principles. You have served our grateful nation and protected us from the evil that surrounds us, and we are eternally in your debt. You are a true hero, even though I know your honor does not allow you to think of yourself that way. You, more than anyone else, understand what it means to live for something and being prepared to defend something. This is why I believe the entrepreneur is the second type of hero. Our county was founded on rugged individualism and the opportunity to pursue our own path to success, not to have our success dictated and determined by someone else. The entrepreneur does not rely on a safe and secure wage, but ...

Happy Birthday, Colorado
I think there's a reason Ayn Rand picked Colorado as the fictional last bastion of entrepreneurship in the dark world she described in "Atlas Shrugged." And today, when those who want to ride in the wagon are beginning to overburden those who are willing to pull it, American can take a lesson from the Centennial State. This nation is not about victims, or collectivism, or false socialist ideals. It's about rugged individualism. It's about being willing to start a business, to create opportunities where none existed before, to build wealth through toil and ingenuity....

A Charismatic Mountain
Last week I climbed Mount Snowdon. I was in awe of the energy and powerful presence that radiated from the spectacular panoramic views at the top. The climb was tough and by the time I got to the peak my legs were aching and I could feel blisters rubbing on my heel. Yet reaching the top gave me a perspective of total clarity that I was at one with the universe and the awesome power of this mountainous terrain. This mountain exuded energy and charisma.
