Employees that know how to follow and support their managers, make good leaders. Without followers, contributors, supporters, and those willing to help when not receiving notoriety there are no leaders.

| You may have heard me talk about some of my clients and read stories about a few of their successes and failures. You might even know by now that, among other sales-related services I provide my clients, I also sell, install, customize and train on GoldMine as a CRM solution for many of my clients. When I am finished with these implementations, I usually hate walking away from them because I worry that someone is going to “fiddle around” with it and screw something up. That’s why I also offer, and many clients invest in, an on-going support agreement where I continue training, customizing, enhancing, fixing, etc, their CRM implementation. Well, here’s an interesting story about someone who stopped using me because they hired an in-house “IT Guy.” |

My home state of Colorado is perenially the "least overweight" U.S. state according to surveys, but that moniker itself is indicative of the trend... we used to call it the "most lean" or "most fit" state. People move here to take advantage of the outstanding climate and outdoor opportunities, so there are thousands of fit-as-a-fiddle Coloradans. But you can still go to any store in the cities and see grossly-fat people who seem to have blown up like balloons.... |

| Tellywood is falling all over itself trying to get their content online and make money in the process. They should take a hint from the kids who have put their music, acting, game content online. They've received donations, gathered regular followers and gotten job offers, jobs. While folks fiddle around with their Facebook, Google + and other like/hate pages because they don't have a big budget; others have taken the DIY approach and produced product, application, case study videos and thrown them up on the web to produce company/product interest, sales. If you can afford it, use a professional to help you get your video story out there. If you're on a Ramon Noodle budget see how you can do it yourself. Just tell the story...quickly!
