| |
| What I find with many people is that they are living unconsciously - automatically reacting to incidences rather than responding to them. Do you find yourself saying that you feel helpless and are often controlled by your emotions? Relax, you’re not alone! |

The State of Being in the Moment
| |
| In the western world, taking action often appears to be the best solution for many life situations. When you want to expand your business, for example, you might set up a short term plan as well as a long term vision. Each day you take action as you progress toward your chosen goals. Being a well-rounded person, you incorporate creativity and inspiration to achieve the dreams and goals that you desire. You work with others who contribute to accomplishing common aims. After several years, your business is increasing and you enjoy financial and personal success.
Being a person who is confident and has good self-esteem, you feel proud of your accomplishments, as you should. Then one day your inner self whispers a deeper truth. |

Resistance to Change Is a Fact of Life.
| |
| It has been astutely noted that the difference between a recession and a depression is this: in a recession, your next door neighbor loses his job, in a depression, you lose your job. Impersonal change is an abstract concept. We can't be adequately prepared for the future until we realize that the changes impacting others will almost certainly affect us as well. Manage Salespeople One at a Time
| |
| Salespeople are a funny breed because selling is a crazy business. The good ones have quirks and idiosyncrasies that make them difficult to manage unless you know how to manage them one at a time. In fact, do you know what motivates each and every one of your salespeople? It's not just the money, although that may be high on the list. Most crave recognition, although no one will admit to it. Many just want to do a good job judged by their own standards. Some run hard for fear of loss (loss of visibility, loss of status, loss of income, even loss of employment). Learn their personal goals, so you know why they work.

Common Sense and Success
| |
| We are all born with five senses: sight, sound, touch, taste and smell. These senses help us navigate our way through the world. They bring us delight in small things. They also warn us when danger threatens. However, I believe that we all have a sixth, and underused sense, our common sense. Your common sense helps you make the right decision in ambiguous situations -- but only if you use it. When I tell people that I'm the Common Sense Guy, people often come back with Will Rogers' saying, "Common sense isn't all that common." I disagree. I think that we all have innate common sense. It's a natural gift, just like our five other senses. We don't always use it though. If you are willing to let your common sense guide you today, you can use it as a guide tomorrow, the next day, next week and next month. |
