Lesson #1: Create a Brand that Can Be Loved, Honoured, and Obeyed
When Wang first opened up shop on Madison Avenue in New York, she was not just selling wedding dresses; what Wang was selling was service. Her goal was to help the women “that are running around looking for special dresses, looking to have everything taken care of because they have busy lives.” To that end, Wang’s shop also helped brides with their jewelry, shoes, hairdos, and more. “I’m creating an image, a brand and a name,” she says.

Not all of the following practical suggestion will apply to your retail business as the level of shop theft committed against your premises will depend on a range of factors. These include: 1. What Do You Expect From Your Coffee Shop?
You can walk down any high street and almost every tenth shop is some sort of eating place or coffee shop. They spring up here there and everywhere, don’t they? And the good ones are always busy.

How is blogging good for a business?
There’s a shop, which has opened recently, very near to where I live. I pass it every day during my walks and not once have I seen a customer in there. Not once! The shop in question is a clothes hire shop. You can hire ball-gowns, dinner suits, kilts, wedding dresses…that sort of thing. I think they are in the wrong location but they need to start marketing and I think blogging would be a great way to start. They have a website. The domain name is underneath the shop front logo.

Make it easy for your customers to buy!
If you want your customers to spend with you why not make it easy? This may seem obvious to you, but it is not always obvious to most business owners and I would like to get you thinking a bit here. Let me explain by example... I have just got back from a break myself and the guy that owned the apartments also owned the small supermarket down the road. The apartments were self catering so it would be good for the owner if the people staying there were to cook food and purchased from his shop. When we arrived he took time to mention his shop so that we would visit, which we duly did and I am sure you are waiting for the but here...and there is and not just one the way I see it.

Home-based Business Idea: Shoe Repair
Shoe repair as a home-based business is especially rewarding. It allows sentimental shoe owners the chance to preserve their favorite shoes. Having their shoes repaired instead of thrashing them at a slightest instance enables them to have more savings.

A Philosophy To Live By
Wisdom goes back a long way and comes in the form of examples, illustrations, stories, cliches, parables, etc. One of the oldest bits of philosophy says that “for want of a nail a shoe was lost, for want of a shoe a horse was lost, for want of a horse a rider was lost, for want of a rider a leader was lost, for want of a leader a battle was lost, for want of a victory a war was lost, for want of a plan a nation was lost.”
