Attraction Marketing - How To Make Buyers Come To You
| |
| In the traditional sales world, the process that a salesperson would use to sell their product or service would be to make cold calls or go door-to-door, informing people about what they are selling and hoping to generate leads that would end in a sale. The difference with attraction marketing, which more and more is used in the place of this traditional sales process, is that a marketer finds out what attracts clients and uses this information to make them come to you. This is far more beneficial and a more pleasant shopping experience for everyone involved. There is no pressure for the buyer. Instead they are buying things that they want to. The key to making this all work is to figure out in the first place what it is that the client will be attracted to. |

Survey shows Internet users prefer PR to ads
| |
| In my previous article, I wrote that public relations may be better positioned than advertising to weather the current storm of major newspapers in financial trouble some of which are going completely digital.
An interesting survey was released recently, which not only seems to support this point, but provides an interesting perspective into the reading habits of young people. "Ragan’s PR News Daily" noted an ARAnet poll based on polling by Opinion Research Corporation, showing that Internet users prefer PR over advertising. |

8 Items Every Shopper Needs In Their Shopping Cart
| |
| Customers who, by all means, appear to be ready to make a purchase, are often found abandoning their shopping carts before they complete their online transaction. In many cases this is part of the normal online shopping experience as the shopping cart is just used as a place to collect items of interest but which the user has no real intent to purchase. But all too often it is a failure of the shopping cart page itself that leads visitors to abandon their items which they do, in fact, wish to have. |

6 Ways to Get Your Visitors To Contact You From Your Contact Us Page
| |
| Along with the About Us page, your Contact Us page is one of the most important and crucial pages on your site to get right. In fact, the Contact Us page could be considered the absolutely most important page. Even if the rest of your site succeeds in the goals, if visitors fail to find the information they need to contact you then you will bring their shopping experience to a screeching halt.
Shoppers are often hampered if they don't feel they can get a hold of a real person or are limited in their contact options. With all other areas of the site working, a bad contact us page may cause someone to think twice about purchasing with you altogether.

"Fingering the Goods"
| |
| "Fingering the goods" was a 1950's merchant expression for "shopping in a store." Except for the Sears Roebuck catalog, store shopping was about the only means for acquiring merchandise. On-line shopping does not let you "finger the goods." In-store service can give you an experience that can take your breath away. |

You Are Here

| As a blind person myself, I am always intrigued with the way that sighted people get or fail to get from point A to point B. It is fascinating to me that people who can see perfectly spend a great deal of their time being lost.
Recently, I made one of my rare trips to a giant shopping mall. As usual, I was listening to all the conversations going on around me. I discovered that most people spend a great deal of effort during their shopping experience trying to figure out where they are in relation to where they wish they were.

Boots, High Heels, Tennies, or Sandals? Come Watch the People Zoo
| |
| When was the last time you went to the zoo? The shopping mall can be JUST as adventurous! As interesting as all the animals are, my daughter, when three, told me while we were sitting on a shopping mall bench "This is as fun as the animal zoo, Mama".
People have been watching people since the beginning of time. Why would someone pierce their tongue and eyebrow and wear hiking boots in the middle of shopping? Why wear striped shorts with a plaid shirt with sandals and socks? Why can you hear that one person laughing way above the noise of the entire mall and find them in high heels and "lookin' good babe"? And then there's those who have their cozy sweat pants on and "tennies". Who are these people and what makes them tick?
With all the 22 companies out there with personality profiles, I have found after 30 years of sales experience |
