Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be salesboys
Don't let 'em sell siding or drive them big trucks
Have 'em be consultants and accountants and such.
Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be salesboys
'Cause they'll never stay home or they're on their cell phone
Even with family around.
With all due apologies to Willie Nelson, I am sure this was the sentiment of most of our parents. Yes, be a lawyer or accountant or even (heaven forbid) a consultant, but please don't ever come home and declare, “Mom, I found my calling. I am going to be a salesperson!”

| Ever wonder how Rodney Dangerfield came up with his signature, “I don’t get no respect,” line? My guess is it first hit him when he still had his job selling aluminum siding. Yep, that’s how he supported himself and his family before his big break on the Ed Sullivan Show. Anyway, talk about a tough thing to sell! How could you possibly differentiate your aluminum siding from their aluminum siding? |

| Wood has 2 silent enemies (and I’m not speaking about termites). They are the two essential elements to all living things: water and sunlight. To living things they are life giving. To dead things, well, they finish the job. In order to protect the siding from these elements, it must be properly coated. If the surface is insufficiently covered with a contiguous paint film it will deteriorate rapidly. When that happens, it gets very costly! |
