Making Business Work Simply
| |
| There are some things in life that are supposed to be really complicated; being a parent, learning how to invest and running your own business. When you look at all of these things nothing could be further from the truth. Parents are taught by their children, investors are taught by their experiences and business owners should be taught by a mentor. Often when I look at businesses it is clear that the owners have given up trying to improve their lot in life because they think that it is too complicated an issue to generate more activity. They think they need to be Einstein to invent some radical new way of doing business. Let me give you a few real-life examples of how simple it can be to change the direction of a business.

Finding Your Life Purpose
| |
| Imagine what life would be like if everyday you got to work on projects that inspired and excited you? Being in touch with your purpose in life provides you the opportunity to live each day with intention and the feeling of being happy to be alive.
Most living things come into the world with their life purpose on “speed control.” Seeds take root, grow and reproduce while providing food and oxygen for other creatures. A squirrel will forage for food, taking care of itself while it nurtures and protects its young. Instinctively they know what they are here to do. For most human beings, life is not that simple: we know that purpose gives meaning to our lives but a lot of people are not clear about what their purpose is. |

| Accepting that everything and everyone in your life is, simply, exactly what it is, is a powerful perspective. When you do this, you don't have to waste time wishing things were different, complaining about how things are or wondering how you might have stopped it. Success Comes From Living Your Purpose
| |
| To develop your personal clarity or purpose you need to do three things. First, define what success means to you. Second, create a vivid mental image of you as a success. Third, clarify your personal values. Ask yourself a simple question almost every day. "Did the things I did today support my life’s purpose?" If you answer, "yes," consider it a successful day. If you answer "no," think about what you can do the next day to get back to living your purpose. Have a clear and vivid mental image of what success means to you. Live your life’s purpose every day. If you haven’t clarified your purpose in life, this is a good time to start. Once you get clear on your purpose, live it every day in all your actions. |
