How Much More Connected Can You Afford to Be?
Whether you're still at the office or working in the home office or den it seems impossible to turn work off and have a life. Face it...we're addicted to the 24x7 round-the-globe "opportunities" we have on the Internet today. Everyone's on, no one's on. You don't even know who's on but you've gotta be there.

Don’t Suggest Another Web Service … Give us a Reason to Change!
You have to love today's social media. Ok you don't have to love it because there is so darned much of it and it has empowered people. Problem is some people just shouldn't be empowered. Heck some should have their computers unplugged and their smartphones confiscated. But sites and blogs have done an excellent source of how-to (how-to install, how-to use, how-to fix, how-to replace, how-to get action) information. You have to love today's social media. Ok you don't have to love it because there is so darned much of it and it has empowered people. Problem is some people just shouldn't be empowered. Heck some should have their computers unplugged and their smartphones confiscated.

Do CEO\'s Overcompensate for Their Strengths?
As I sit in the Seattle airport waiting to board my delayed flight to Anchorage (Dear Alaska Airlines: Since it’s a “mechanical delay”, please feel free to delay it as long as you want until you are absolutely sure the airplane works), I was pondering a conversation I had at the very end of Gnomedex with an entrepreneur that I’d met for the first time.

No One Ever Tells Us/No One Ever Asks Us
The Seattle Sonics, a National Basketball Association team, are having problems. This is nothing new for the Sonics, nor for many professional teams. The same could be said for many businesses. The actual problem is universal.

Starbucks opened its first store in Seattle, Washington in 1971. Since then, the company has become so engrained in the city’s culture and identity that many have begun to refer to the city as Starbucks Seattle. Indeed, with one of the highest density per block of outlets in the world, the moniker Starbucks Seattle has some merit.

Doing MY Thing Minding MY Own Business
Does worrying about what others think of you, or what you are doing cause you anxiety and sleepless nights? Do you tailor your actions or behavior to the opinions of others? If so, then have I found a book title for you! I have not read the book by Terry Cole Whitaker, but when I saw it, it really struck a chord. The title is "What You Think of Me is None of My Business". How cool is that?! Doesn't it make you go, "hmmm"?

RealNetworks Offers Consumers Another Layer of DVD DRM
Guess you just can't have too much DRM. At least not if you believe RealNetwork's CEO Rob Glaser. He's going to help you rip your DVDs to your HD so you can play them on the go. Of course he doesn't touch Hollywood's DRM and in fact goes them one better...he adds his own unique, really cool DRM on top of it. Then when Hollywood says that's not part of our agreement he does the only logical thing...he sues them!!! Life up in Seattle must be a little dull right now.

Planning For Supplemental Retirement Income-Keep It Simple
With the recent losses on Wall Street many investors are wondering if the goal of achieving a higher rate of return than can be attained with a traditional risk free savings plan is worth the sleepless nights that many are now facing.

Why is Getting a Good Night's Sleep so Important to Your Workday?
I used to have so much trouble sleeping. In 2008, when the economy starting going bad, it caused a lot of people to have sleepless nights. For our good health, we all need a certain amount of deep sleep every night to revive our bodies and minds. If you go long periods without sound sleep, it can seriously affect your health. I suffered the loss of my job. In the process of looking for work at home, I received a tremendous invitation and explanation of an Internet marketing business that also told those 50-60 K income stories but got past those "eye-catchers" and explained their business to me. No more sleepless nights for me except that I enjoy working at this business so much that I am not keeping regular 9-5 hours. I can work whenever and wherever I please.

Finally bring an end to sleepless nights and scary end of the month panic attacks worrying about making production, Get a Mary Kay Action Plan. Selling is the art of giving people what they want, not shoving something down their throat!

The Marketing Pyramid: How to Find Your Ideal Client
If you were trying to find your soul mate through a dating site, a description such as “looking for someone 35-45 in Seattle who drives a red car” isn’t going to find you your Prince or Princess Charming. The same is true with your marketing materials. To find those people who get you excited about your business and what you’re doing, you have to laser in on your “ideal client.”

Managing Priorities
I’m at the end of day three of another very intense, but enjoyable and satisfying week. I’ve been in Seattle the past two days and am headed to LA for the next two days before finally making it home after being on the road for the past two weeks.
