| Like the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz, we all need a "heart". Not the pump thing that keeps us going, but something more subtle. This heart is the seat of our emotions, of empathy and of love. We need to recognise its existence and to find a balance between our heart and our head. Only with this balance will we find harmony in our lives. |

Positive attitude comes with a smile! Negative thoughts are infectious. Once you wear a long face, it affects all around you, It is very easy to slip into negative thinking. Optimists have failures too, but they tend to blame the failure on factors that are external to themselves, temporary and specific to this instance. For the negative person however, they claim it is their own fault, and it always happens to them. They take Murphy’s Law to heart, “if it can go wrong, it will”…They look on the glass as always half empty. There are also people who have learnt the behavior of negativity. |

| Have you ever had one of those desires that made you smile when you thought about having it? Maybe you imagined enjoying the sights on your dream vacation to Europe or on a remote island. I love imagining surprising my dad with a house overlooking the delta waterways with his boat parked out front. I also like thinking about paying off my mom's mortgage or paying for a cruise for my 100 favorite people. It's such a wonderful feeling to daydream about things that make my heart sing. |

| When you walk up to a person you don't know and overwhelm them with your big smile, and your over-the-top enthusiasm, and you are telling them you have the best product, service or whatever, the person you are approaching will most likely want to turn and run. However, if you approach them with "normal" enthusiasm and a smile they will probably give you at least the courtesy of a few minutes of their time. It is very important what you share in these few minutes you are given. |
