The world of content and entertainment is changing right before our eyes. People want their entertianment on their big screen, on their PC, on their mobile whatever. The "pro" content providers (the dudes/dudettes) who earn the big $$$$ are really trying to figure out what YOU are doing wrong! Their weekly schedule is good. It's logica. It's what consumers want. Should be they change it enough. But then there's that pesky Internet stuff and suddenly people can get their content when they want...day/night, home/office/round-the-globe. That sorta, kinda sucks. NAB is still sorta about TV and movies...but with a difference. The difference is huge. They're trying to figure out how to hook you up with their content, stuff, rather than letting the other guy suck you in. So they're trying all the angles smartphone, tablet, notebook. Heck even the TV and theater. Seems as though you've given up work, exercise, just about everything to watch content anytime, anywhere, anyhow. They haven't figured out exactly how to make money on it all yet but they do like what Netflix has done over the past year. Maybe they'll try their own channels of distribution shortly...maybe.

Social Media Isn’t About Winning … It’s More Important Than That
Now that all the social media companies are either public or getting ready to go public we can tell you the truth...social media was formed to help folks sell stuff, make money! Yes we've heard some social media experts say it isn't about money but gee it's sorta, kinda important. Sure there's more like better, faster customer service, customer support. But that's just to: a) keep the product/service sold and b) make the customer happy so he/she will suggest friends, neighbors, others also buy the product/service. Companies know social media is important to them tomorrow they just can't quite figure out what their real ROI (return on investment) is.
