| I finally got back into my favorite sport – Racquetball. It’s been nearly four years since I played. When we moved from New Jersey to Las Vegas, there were no clubs nearby for me to join. But they finally opened a brand new health club not far from my home. So I joined and am back to playing my favorite sport 3 times a week. I really didn’t realize how much I missed it till I started playing again. I guess after being away from it for a while gave me a new perspective once I resumed playing again because I was suddenly aware of several interesting analogies between this fast-paced sport and selling. Yes, you heard me. I can see several similarities between playing Racquetball and Selling! |

| Recently I have been watching the rerun of "Life at 1" on ABC TV (Australia) in readiness for the "Life at 3" series as I am fascinated by all things behavioural and developmental. The series focuses on children and their development from age one and beyond, similar in concept to the BBC's Seven Up series. However this series cannot be complete without the children's parents and siblings being involved.
One of the fathers being tested in the series had recently changed jobs from being a professional sales person in a luxury car showroom to working in the family market garden business growing vegetable. His ‘stress' levels actual and emotional were significantly lower after having changed jobs which also affected his child's stress levels for the better.

I am interested in the series because I am a parent, however it is amazing what you can learn about other areas of your life from seemingly unrelated sources. This is such a case. |
