A Guide to Creating a Direct Mail Campaign incorporating Promotional Products
| |
| This article is a practical How to Guide for any businesses looking at doing a Direct Mail Campaign for the first time. I use an example of an Unaddressed Mail campaign that incorporates Promotional Products and discuss each step involved from contacting Australia Post, picking your Promotional Product and submitting your letters for lodgement.
Many companies are no longer using Direct Mail and so there is a real opportunity for businesses to dominate with little competition from other businesses. I have used an example that includes promotional products because according to the Promotional Product Association International the inclusion of a Promotional Product to a mail promotion can increase the response rate by 50% (Reference: The Power of Promotional Products – PPAI). |

How many times have you gotten onboard a social media website, went on an “adding friends” wild spree, starting sending links to these new so-called friends and wished for the best? How to Build Effective Spreadsheets
| |
| Spreadsheets have become an important business tool. I first experienced them at university in the mid to late 1980s. I remember thinking, for the first time, that computers could really be useful. Since then some of the things that I have used them have been:
Business reports
Create financial forecast
Run horse race sweeps
Develop a betting program (unsuccessful) and
Calculate average km times in races
Spreadsheets are very powerful and can be used for a variety of purposes. However, in business, they are prone to error and an incorrect formula or a spreadsheet designed poorly can result in poor business decisions being made.

"Just the facts Ma'am"
| |
| Feelings however, are not facts. We may feel badly or overly optimistic by a financial statement - but that has no effect on the facts. An accountant can look at a spreadsheet and give us a full report of where the business stands - and although we may feel like we are failing (or succeeding) the colour of the ink at the end of the day gives us an accurate picture.
