Howard Shultz grew up in a subsidized housing project is the eldest of three children and the first in his family to ever graduate from college. Go into any Starbucks and look for the ‘short cappuccino’ on the menu. You won’t find it. That is because this is one Starbucks drink that company executives don’t want you to buy.


Starbucks locations are busy places. With line ups that are often out the doors and new baristas constantly being trained, many Starbucks locations are filled with more than just the aroma of coffee. Instead, they are places of confusion and chaos, where anything happens and often, anything goes.


Starbucks opened its first store in Seattle, Washington in 1971. Since then, the company has become so engrained in the city’s culture and identity that many have begun to refer to the city as Starbucks Seattle. Indeed, with one of the highest density per block of outlets in the world, the moniker Starbucks Seattle has some merit.

Where can I buy a Starbucks Franchise ? (hint, you can’t)
Judging by the volume of queries made in search engines and forums, many people aspire to the status of Starbucks franchisee. If you´re one of them, you´re out of luck. So how did Starbucks even know it was my birthday and why was I entitled to a free drink?
